From the Desk of Ryan Lanzen Hello Torreon Members,
Follow Us Now!
I hope you have all had a great start to the week! We have had quite a weekend and start to the week with anywhere from 10” to 15” of snow falling since Friday evening! We have posted a good number of pictures on Facebook for your enjoyment. If you don’t “LIKE” Torreon Golf Club, make sure you do! Check out the pictures in the following pages for those who may not be on Facebook. If you are coming up this weekend to head up to Sunrise, you will find their snow report on the next page. If full blown skiing and snowboarding isn’t quite your thing, there are some pretty good sledding spots inside Torreon. I would check out #8 Cabin, #10 Cabin, #15 Cabin, #1 Tower or #17 Tower; there is some pretty good slope to the hills in all of those places and generally, pretty easy access. Regardless of where you choose to sled, we ask that you all be mindful of what is under the snow. We want you to enjoy the terrain and the white stuff, but please avoid the putting greens which you will see are surrounded by black fencing once again this year. We appreciate your help in this as it is a great first step to making sure we have another year of outstanding course conditions in 2016! Have you made New Year’s Eve plans yet? If you have not, make sure you plan to be here at Torreon! We have a great evening of dinner and dancing planned with a great 4-course dinner to start it off from 5-9 PM. The Dance, with live music by Triple Play, will be from 9 PM – 1 AM and will include a champagne toast, appetizers, balloon drop and a cash bar. The cost for dinner is $35 per person, the dance is $20 per person or if you want to do both, it is $45 per person for the entire evening. You can make reservations by calling the Front Desk at 928-532-8000. The Family Center will be open over the Holiday! The schedule will be as follows: December 19th – 23rd: 9am – 5pm December 24th and 25th: Closed December 26th – 30th: 9am – 5pm December 31st: 9am – 3pm (closes to set up for party), open 5pm – 12:30am for kids NYE bash. Please contact the Front Desk for more information on pricing and schedule of events. January 1st: Closed January 2nd: 9am – 5pm January 3rd: 9am – 3pm As we navigate the holidays and do our best to allow our staff to spend time with their families as well, the Torreon Clubhouse will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and re-open to the normal winter schedule on Saturday, December 26th! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week and we hope to see you in the coming days! Ryan Lanzen rwl@torreon.com
