CITY TOUR LONDON

DAY 1: WELCOME TO LONDON!

Arrival to London. Home to his Royal Highness, King Charles IIII. Over the next few days, you will be exploring royal hot spots in London and its area. A private black cab will pick you up at the airport and takes you to your hotel in London. Enjoy your free time in the afternoon. We suggest a relaxing walk around St. James Park and Hyde Park. Maybe you can even have a quick look around the world-famous luxury department store, Harrods. 4x overnights in central London.

DAY 2:

Today you will pass various sites that are playing an important role in the history of the Royal Family. Start with the traditional ‘Changing the Guard’ ceremony at the Buckingham Palace (usually daily at 10:45). You will also see the balcony, which is being used for public occasions. Continue your tour to the Royal Mews. It’s a working branch of the Royal house and responsible for all royal road travel, by car, horse and carriage. Your next destination should be the ‘Queens Gallery’ an impressive art exhibition of more than 450 works. Also, you shouldn’t miss the St. James Palace which was built by the Tudor king Henry VIII. Nearby, you will also find the worldwide oldest hat store ‘Lock & Co Hatters’. The family-owned business is a royal warrant holder and created hats for Sir Winston Churchill, Oscar Wild und Jacqueline Kennedy Onassi. If you fancy some delicacies, you shouldn’t miss Fortnum & Mason, which is also known as the Queen’s grocer. Finish the day at the magnificent Westminster Abbey. The Abbey plays an enormous role in the Royal history and was the venue for 17 Royal weddings. Cross the Westminster Bridge for a stunning view over Big Ben and Westminster Palace.

DAY 3:

Today you will have free time until the early afternoon. That’s when you will be joining a half day excursion to Windsor where you will be visiting the imposing castle. It is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the World and has been family home to British kings and queens. The late Queen Elisabeth II spent many weekends here.

DAY 4:

You will start in the Eastern part of London. Take a stroll through the Royal Exchange. A luxury shopping centre from the 16. Century. It’s also a place where royal proclamations (such as the death of a monarch) are read out by a herald. You will continue towards Tower Bridge. You might pass the Sky Garden in the Frenchurch Building. It’s a unique viewing platform, which is free of charge (Att. Tickets must be pre-booked). In the Tower of London, you will have the chance to have a glance at the Crown Jewels, a sparkling collection of 23.578 gemstones. Nowadays, they are still used for royal ceremonies. In the afternoon you will board a river cruise for a traditional Afternoon Tea. The boat will take you to London Bridge and back. You will have the chance to explore London from a different angle.

DAY 5:

We sincerely hope that you enjoyed your time in London. Your private airport transfer will pick you up at the hotel.
