This blooming season gives us the anticipation of the memories that will be created as we live and play. We hope that your New Year’s resolutions are still in full swing… if not, that’s ok! There’s plenty of time left in 2024 and we’re here to help with our spring opportunities. School break program
Designed for the youngest programmers, our "Junior Programmers" course introduces children to the fundamentals of coding through playful exploration. As they bring dancing characters to life and create their very own interactive games, our little coders naturally develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. But this is more than just a coding course—it's a platform for self-expression and creativity, fostering curiosity and a love for learning. And don't worry, we don't spend all our time in the digital realm! Our course also includes a mix of unplugged activities and organized play, ensuring a well-rounded, engaging experience. By the end of this journey, your child won't just have taken their first steps into coding, they'll have the tools to grow and thrive as curious, lifelong learners. Code For Fun instructors are experts in Computer Science and make all sessions fun and engaging for all students.

YOUTH
The Town of Danville is proud to team up with an official NFL Flag organization to present our FIRST annual ALL GIRLS Flag Football league! With the addition of Women’s Flag Football added to our local high schools, we wanted a place for girls to learn the sport and develop skills to bring with them into high school play. Our league is beginner based as many have not played flag football before. We are dedicated as well as NFL Flag to creating more opportunities for female athletes to participate in youth sports and learn this on the rise sport. No games on 5/27. Each player will receive an NFL teambased jersey (included in your fee). Volunteer coaches will distribute at practice. Players should wear athletic shorts and cleats or athletic shoes (depending on the field). This league consists of 8 – 45 minute games on Sundays & 2-4 practices throughout the season. This league will be coached by volunteer coaches.

WINNING THE RACE BETWEEN TIME AND MONEY: RETIREMENT PLANNING FOR 2024 Age 55Y & Up | Town Staff
At this live workshop, John Lau will show you: How IRAs are different from other accounts and what their impacts are. How the SECURE Act has changed beneficiary planning for retirement accounts. How inheriting an IRA account does not automatically stretch out the 10year distribution unless your beneficiary does one more thing… how an IRA Beneficiary Trust can help save income and estate tax; how a Charitable Remainder Trust IRA beneficiary can help stretch out distributions. How relocating your IRA to life insurance may parlay your retirement accounts to a large tax-free estate, and whether to convert or not to convert (to Roth IRA). Having a blast on National Pizza Party Day is no pie-in-the-sky idea. Although mainly thought of as an Italian dish, pizza has seemingly existed forever. The ancient Greeks used to flavor their flatbread with oils, herbs, and cheese, while Persian soldiers used to bake their own pizzas on the hot surfaces of their shields. Traditional pizza is also known as Neapolitan pizza, and it originates—as the name suggests—from Naples, around the middle of the 16th century. Italian immigrants later introduced the dish to their new American compatriots, and eventually, pizza became the savory crowd-pleaser we know it to be today. Join us for a Pizza Party and lets celebrate all things pizza!
