live locally TOWN OF DANVILLE Q U A RT E R LY N E W S L E T T E R
Message from the Town Council Golden hills and warm days, summer is here in Danville, and we want to welcome you to the latest edition of the Live Locally Quarterly Newsletter. In these pages, you’ll find there’s a lot to know about the Town of Danville, and all that’s happening here. In our center section, see how the Town works to keep our roads in the best shape they can be—how they’re evaluated, maintained, and reviewed, as well as how we create the list of roads to be worked on each year. In our Economic Development section (pg 11), learn about the collaboration of government, business, and art that brought about our very first public art project, Dogs of Danville, Unleashed. Summer is a very busy travel time for most people and families. The Danville PD has tips on how to prevent your home from being burglarized while you’re away and how to avoid distracted driving while you’re out on the road. Ever see a pothole, graffiti, or malfunctioning streetlight and not know what to do? Check out the information on the Danville Connect app (pg 9), which lets you report issues you see, as well as connecting you to the Town in many other ways. Summer is also budget time, and we give you an overview of how we spend taxpayer money, and what the decision-making process is.
