Engineering Responsible for ensuring that public and private infrastructure is designed and constructed safely, and consistent with applicable Town standards.

Highlight: Major Construction ROSE STREET MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT (C-592) Land acquisition, design and construction of a new 78 space municipal parking lot in the northern area of Downtown Danville as a commitment to its economic vitality.

Highlight: Design & Construction VILLAGE THEATRE PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS (CIP B-597) Land acquisition, design and construction of an expanded municipal parking lot next to the Village Theatre in Downtown Danville. The project would add 131 spaces to the existing 69-space lot, resulting in 201 total spaces in one of the “hot spot” parking areas of Downtown Danville.

Highlight: Construction Underway DANVILLE STREETS & ROADS PRESERVATION (CIP C-584) Rehabilitation of pavement on Sycamore Valley Road (from Camino Ramon to San Ramon Valley Boulevard) and El Cerro Boulevard (from El Pintado Road to La Gonda Way).

Highlight: Design & Construction BRET HARTE PARK PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS (B-574) Construction of a new 300-foot long 5-foot wide asphalt pathway next to the Bret Harte parking area to improve pedestrian access to Vista Grande Elementary School.
