INTRODUCTION Recognized as a historic site by the Heritage Resource Commission, the Village Theatre serves as a performing arts theatre with a fine arts gallery located in the lobby. Since the Town of Danville purchased the Village Theatre in 1987, it has opened its curtains to a variety of book lectures, concerts, film festivals, meetings, movie screenings, musicals, performances for youth and adults, plays and special events. This year, the Town of Danville is excited to continue the 100th Anniversary celebration of the Village Theatre which will conclude with the Grand Engagement on November 16. Look inside for more information about the Grand Engagement and other events that are planned to commemorate this monumental occasion. In addition to the anniversary celebration and time-honored theatre groups, the Town is delighted to bring back the most recent addition to the Village Theatre, Thursdays @ the VT, for a second year. The Town of Danville welcomes your participation in all of the Village Theatre excitement throughout the year.
