HRH Prince Philippe has always supported and endorsed the BLCCJ and our activities over the years. A direct result of his engagement in the development of bilateral trade is the YES (Young Executive Stay) Program, that was started in 1996 after one of His visits to Japan. The program is still organized, every two years, under His auspices.

Young Executive

The YES Program is a two-yearly commercial export program under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium. It aims to train 10 young executives from Belgian and Luxembourg companies in successful Japanese business practices.

The program was organized for the first time in 1996, and the 6th edition took place in 2008. During the 12 years of its existence, the YES program has been offering a unique opportunity fore young executives from Belgium and Luxembourg to gain an in-depth understanding of doing business in Japan, and provided hands-on support for meeting real business prospects.

YES is organized by the BLCCJ, in cooperation with the Belgium-Japan Association and Chamber of Commerce and the Chambre de Commerce de Luxembourg. With the additional support of the Embassies of Belgium and Luxembourg in Japan, and the representatives of the three Belgian regions, this training program has proven to be a highly effective means for young executives to make real progress in short time span.

1996年に第1回目が実施されてから、今年、2008年に第6回目を迎える同プログラムは、過去12年間にわたり、ベル ギーとルクセンブルグの若手幹部に、 日本におけるビジネスへの理解を深めるための特別な機会を提供してきま した。また顧客候補である日本企業との仲介役として、 ビジネスの現場でのサポートも実施しています。

同プログラムは、在日ルクセンブルグセンブルグ商工会議所が主催し、 日白協会兼商工会議所（BJA） とルクセンブ ルグ商工会議所が運営に協力しています。また、在日ベルギー大使館、在日ルクセンブルク大使館及びベルギー の3自治区代表からも支援を受けているこの研修プログラムは、若手幹部にとって、短期間で確実に成果が得るこ とができる非常に効率的なプログラムだと言えます。

The Nippon Export Award, an initiative of the BLCCJ, was organized for the first time in 2004. Its aim is to support and promote the business links between Japan and Belgium-Luxembourg.

「日本輸出大賞」は、日本とベルギー・ルクセンブルグの経済交流を支援､推進するために、在日ベルギー・ルクセ ンブルグ商工会議所(BLCCJ) 主催により行われるビジネスアワードで、 2004年にその第一回目の授与が行われま した。

The Nippon Export Award is open to any company exporting to Japan, importing into Japan or distributing within Japan, Belgian/Luxembourg products or services. The winner is selected by an independent jury who is

30 Year s of

The very first BLCCJ “networking event” took place at the end of the first decade of our existence: the 10th Anniversary Celebration Ball, held on March 9, 1989. For the most part, the BLCCJ events during those first 10 years of existence had been meetings and formal exchanges between businesses and government agencies and/or delegations. With the 10th anniversary however, a tradition was started that holds until today, and that over the years has only added to the working and appeal of the Chamber of Commerce.

Initially only a Gala Ball was held, but over the years the social- and networking events organized by the BLCCJ have grown and now include three big annual events: a new-Year Party; a Mid-Year party and the Gala Ball.

Additionally, informal monthly “Belgian Beer gatherings” are held with much success.

在日ベルギー・ルクセンブルグ商工会議所の設立からちょうど10年が経過した頃、1989年3月9日に盛大な10周年 記念パーティーが、 キャピタル東急ホテルの真珠の間（パール・ボールルーム） にて開催されました。最初の10年間 のイベントでは、 ビジネスマン、政府関係者や代表派遣団の正式な交流の場でありました。

最初の頃は、 ガラ・パーティーのみ開催されていましたが、 しかしその後何十年に渡り、 ソーシャルイベントやネット ワーキングイベントを開催するまでになりました、そして現在では、ニューイヤー、 ミッドイヤー、 ガラパーティーの 三大イベントが毎年行われております。さらに、皆様に大変ご好評いただいております「ベルギー・ビール集会」 と いうカジュアルなイベントは、毎月定期的に開催されております。
