AUSTIN STACKS

Liam Kearns, a former Club Footballer, passed away suddenly on Sunday night, causing shock and sadness throughout the country. He had been involved in football for over 40 years, winning All Ireland MF Medals with Kerry in 1980 and a SF Co. Championship medal in 1986 with his Club. He later became a Football Manager for Limerick, Laois, Tipperary (leading them to an All Ireland semi-final in 2016), Rathmore Club, and Offaly. Liam remained a devoted supporter of Austin Stacks and attended many social functions with his former team mates. Our sincere condolences go out to Liam’s family and friends, especially his wife Angela, his daughters Rachel and Laura, and his parents Eileen and Ollie.

Tralee/St. Brendans League Final postponed due to weather. No new date set. Our Co. League game against Spa now on March 25th. In Minor Football, we share top spot with Kenmare Shamrocks after being awarded points for a missed game. Next game is against Kenmare on March 15th, followed by a game against An Ghaeltacht on March 18th.

On Friday (March 17th), the Rock footballers and fans will gather for St. Patrick’s Day. Team managers will send information on the meeting time and point. Show your support by wearing hats, scarves, jerseys, flags, and banners. The parade will feature trumpets, drums, bodhráns, and flutes, marching through the streets of our town. Let’s come together as a community to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. U7 football: Join the outdoor fun next Sunday at 10am. Everyone welcome.
