TRANS DIVERSITY

Stories of Diverse Transgender People Transitioning From Female-To-Male, Male-To-Female and Agender

I came out when I was 22. My family immediately turned their backs on me due to religious preferences, but I never allowed that to stop me. I’ve always used my negatives as fuel to fire my positives so I decided to become more then just my transition. I’m a Chef, Mixologist, aspiring Trans model and business owner. Everyday is a struggle, but I’ve never been happier. Be true to yourself, your soul will thank you.

I came out as trans in 2015. I never thought in my life I would come out, but I’m so glad that I did. I love being able to express myself and wearing the clothes I want. I’m blessed to have the family and friends that I have. They have been nothing but supportive. Hopefully I can get my hands on HRT soon but therapy is going amazing! I’m loving life as it goes and I’m glad I’m not facing it alone.

I spent a lot of time alone when I was younger. During my last year of middle school, I transfered to a public school. During those years and the start of high school, I started to figure out who I am and my gender. I struggled with self harm as my parents are heavy Christians, who are not very accepting of the LGBT community. I constantly felt what I was, was wrong because for the longest time, my parents put it in my head. Even though my parents say it’s wrong, I honestly have never been happier with knowing who I am and accepting myself.
