TORKSEY HISTORY GROUP VISIT TO NEWARK CASTLE – 21st October 2015

Regular giving enables us to plan our spending more efficiently and will help to cover insurance costs as well as other overheads. If you would like to take part in this scheme it is not too late and any donation will be gratefully received. If you need another form or an envelope, please give me a call. We also appreciate people who give their time and use their talents to look after the church building and help in many ways. If you would like to help, please let me know. Thank you. OTHER EVENTS Held in Church THANK YOU once again to those who gave so generously, around harvest time, to our collection of items for FRAMEWORK, a charity which supports homeless people in the Newark area. We had a bumper collection! Our next collection for the Trussell Trust charity will be in January. Once again foods in tins, packets and jars with a long shelf life are appreciated, as are household items such as toilet rolls and toiletries like toothpaste and brushes, soap, deodorant and shower gel etc. After Christmas, particularly in the cold weather, it would be good to have packets of biscuits, tinned puddings and chocolate bars donated as a real treat for those who find themselves in times of hardship. Thank you. Our coffee morning held to coincide with the library van visit continues, every four weeks. Next dates are: 23rd December and 20th January. Come along for a hot drink, some homemade biscuits and catch up on all the latest news, any time between 10.30 and 12 noon.
