Green roofs insulate the buildings while providing a communal space.
Reclaimed water off of the roofs goes into bio sand filtration tank for later use as potable water.
Large overhangs and solar shading devices cover the windows and balconies from excessive heat gain.

The Building: This was a barracks on what was a Naval training facility that now has become a new city that is nearly self sustaining. With post tension slabs the 7 story building is very limiting on its possibilities. Autodesk Revit

The Building: The Paramount is a large mix-use building is Downtown Orlando. The building has a majority of residential units with a built in garage and retail on the first floor.

The Lamp: Our goal for the first digital fabrication project was to design a lamp in Rhinoceros 3D and introduce the class to the new laser cutter. CorelDRAW

The Problem: Learn the process of creating a digital model, run scripts to piece the model together, and then to flatten it to send to the laser cutter. Autodesk AutoCAD
The Solution: Create a lamp that can be made cheap and efficiently. The lamp is simple to assemble and was designed to be adjustable to fit the wants of the user along with the color for their likeness.

The Solution: Create a twin high rise that react to each other along with the history and culture of the city. The shorter tower (tower 2) is the residential tower and the taller tower (tower 1) is the office and hotel tower. The base is parking and the high end offices.
