There are two methods for curing this. Try running a lead pencil up and down the zip; it should give your zip a bit of slip to get it moving. Similarly, soap will loosen up the zip and get it going again.
Our old friend the safety pin can spare your blushes and keep your top a little nearer together.
A safety pin on the inside of your garment will keep that rogue bra strap in place. If you don’t want to make a hole in your clothes, try double-sided tape.
Use double-sided tape (we like Hollywood Fashion Tape (found at ulta) which comes in its own very chic handbag friendly tin) for ‘inside’ the hem, or just Scotch tape the top of the hem to the inside of your trouser leg/skirt.
Simply take off the offending item of clothing, and give it a good shake. Hopefully this should do the trick. If you happen to have a metal coat hanger on you, rub it onto the inside of your clothes.
Small-packs of baby wipes are readily available and should do a good job of temporarily cleaning the area.
You can do one of two thigns for deooderant stains..Try rubbing the fabric together to rub the stain off. Or simply wipe clean with a baby wipe, that should do the trick.

THIS AMBITIOUS CROSS-CULTURAL EXHIBITION EXPLORES THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TWO GLOBAL SUPERPOWERS, THE REPUBLIC OF VENICE AND THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE, OVER FOUR CENTURIES (CIRCA 1400–1800).
Through a rich body of works reflecting both Venetian and Ottoman origins, Venice and the Ottoman Empire documents interactions between the two rival Mediterranean states across multiple cultural arenas—political, diplomatic, economic, artistic, technological, and culinary.
The Venetian loans are joined by a trove of recently salvaged objects from a major Adriatic shipwreck, the large Venetian merchant ship Gagliana Grossa that sank while traveling from Venice to Istanbul in 1583. These spectacular items have never been exhibited outside Croatia, where the wreck is located.
Featuring more than 190 works in a broad range of media, the exhibition draws from the vast collections of Venice’s storied civic museums, including the Museo Correr, Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo Mocenigo, and Museo Fortuny, as well as the NCMA’s own extensive holdings of Venetian art. Winter is the perfect season to indulge in comforting and heartwarming meals that warm us up from the inside out. And what better way to do so than with a steaming bowl of tomato soup? With its vibrant red color and rich, silky texture, tomato soup has become a classic winter favorite. This comforting dish instantly transports us to cozy evenings by the fireplace, providing a sense of comfort and nourishment on even the coldest of winter days.
As the cold winter wind blows outside, our craving for comforting and soul-satisfying foods begins to grow. Embracing the essence of this chilly season is the velvety warmth of a bowl of butternut squash soup. This delightful blend of roasted butternut squash, aromatic spices, and creamy goodness embodies the cozy essence of winter. With each spoonful, this soup delivers a burst of earthy flavors that nourish both our body and soul, embracing us in a warm, comforting embrace.
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cans (400g each) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves and parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
2. Add the crushed tomatoes, vegetable or chicken broth, and sugar to the pot. Stir well.
3. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Using an immersion blender or regular blender, puree the soup until smooth.
5. Return the soup to the pot and stir in the heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Heat the soup over low heat until warmed through.
7. Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

You know we love rice, not only because it’s filling and deliciously starchy, but because it’s a blank canvas for creativity. You can turn rice into many dishes, and they’re all special in a way.
Rice is also inexpensive and universal, so it makes sense that millions of people enjoy the small, pearly grain daily. Here are five ways people cook rice, from fancy risotto to enormous paella pans to feed the entire family.
You’d never guess the most famous deep-fried street food snacks in Sicily are made with rice. These goldenbrown rice balls are delicious two-biters, not only for their crispy crust and starchy consistency but also for their filling. People stuff these bad boys with everything, from meat ragú to prosciutto and mozzarella.
Arancini has been around for a thousand years and it is always present in the most traditional Sicilian festivities. Nevertheless, these round, heavenly snacks are easy to make at home and a fun cooking activity for the whole family.
The silky texture of risotto has no equal; it’s incredibly creamy and rewarding. This is a specialty from Northern Italy, and it’s always cooked to order — risotto is all about timing it right.
Risotto starts with cooking rice, most commonly Arborio rice, in broth with butter, onion, white wine and a hefty amount of Parmesan, gently but swiftly stirring to get that unctuous texture.
Of course, depending on what you add to your risotto, you’ll get different results, so try mushrooms or squid ink, seafood or black truffles. The sky’s the limit! Risotto is a wonderful starter, but it can also shine as a main course if served with meat.
Straight from the Spanish Mediterranean Coast, paella is perhaps the flashiest rice dish on earth. Paella is typically cooked on an open flame in a special paella pan, which is wide and shallow, making it a fun project for when cooking outdoors.
There are many types of paella, but they all have Bomba rice in common, which fluffs nicely as it absorbs the rich broth. Paella is more than rice; it’s a collage of color and flavor since people add to their pan meat and veggies; sometimes chicken, sometimes seafood (sometimes both!) The key ingredient, though, is the most expensive spice on earth: saffron. Luckily, you only need a pinch to flavor the whole pan.
Perhaps one of the most popular rice dishes on earth, Biryani, comes from South Asia — they love it in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and its surroundings. The trick here is cooking rice with your favorite meat, whether chicken, beef, goat lamb, or even seafood. Assorted veggies give color to this dish, but it’s the spices that make biryani taste and smell as good as it does. Fennel seeds, nutmeg, mace, cloves, peppers, cardamom, cinnamon, and a dozen more spices give biryani its personality.
Although not the hardest dish to make, you’ll need some practice to get the seasoning right. Added to that, there’s not one version of biryani, but many, so browse around and find the right one for you.
Ending on a sweet note, few desserts are as easy and delicious as Thailand’s sweet sticky rice, especially when served with beautiful mango slices. This specialty’s original name is Khao Neeo Mamuang, but everyone calls it sweet sticky mango rice because that’s just what it is!
To make this sweet street food and authentic dessert, cook Asian (sticky) rice in water until tender. While the rice cooks, combine a cup of coconut milk with a cup of sugar for every cup of rice you’re cooking. Once the rice is done, incorporate that creamy goodness. Let the rice cool and reserve it with freshly sliced mango. What a delight!
