DRESS AND NECKLACE: AT EASE BOUTIQUEAttention, stylish southern women! Spring is here, and that means it's time to refresh your wardrobe and embrace the latest fashion trends. Get ready to turn heads with these five fabulous spring fashion trends that are sure to make you shine brighter than a blooming magnolia!
This spring, pastels are ruling the fashion kingdom. From dreamy lavender to delicate mint green, these soft hues will surely elevate your southern charm. Embrace the sweetness of pastel-colored dresses, blouses, or even accessories like earrings and handbags. Get ready to bloom like a beautiful dogwood tree!
What's more authentically southern than gingham? This timeless pattern is back in full force! Whether you're rocking a gingham sundress, a cute top, or a pair of gingham shorts, this versatile pattern adds a touch of country chic to any outfit. Embrace your inner southern belle and let gingham accompany you on your spring adventures!
Attention-grabbing sleeves are stealing the spotlight this spring. Ruffles, bell sleeves, and puffed shoulders are making a dramatic comeback. These statement sleeves will turn a simple blouse or dress into a fashion statement. Get ready to flaunt those arm candies, darlings, because it's time to sleeve the competition behind!
Spring fashion and floral prints go together like biscuits and gravy. This year, embrace the floral frenzy with big and bold floral patterns. From oversized flowers to vibrant botanicals, floral prints are blooming everywhere. Whether it's a flirty floral dress or a flowy kimono, let your outfit blossom like a field of wildflowers.
Southern summers can be scorching, so why not protect your beautiful peepers in style? Channel your inner vintage queen with a pair of retro sunglasses. Cat-eye frames, oversized round lenses, or funky geometric shapes will add a touch of old-school glamour to any outfit. Trust us, the sun won't be the only thing shining this season!

... wait, that's just our new perfume! Christian Dior once said, "A woman's perfume tells more about her than her handwriting." And we couldn't agree more - you're not fully dressed without a spritz of your favorite scent. We love to switch up our perfumes, depending on the occasion and season. We've rounded up some of our favorites. These are in constant rotation on our vanities, in addition to a few classic scents like Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede and Kai. One of these would make the perfect last-minute Mothers day gift or our favorite type of gift that we like to call, "To Me, From Me!" ... because you're worth it!

CHLOE EAU DE PARFUM STELLA MCCARTNEY STELLA TOCCA COLETTEHi Anna! I don’t follow the beauty trends enough to know what to really ask for. But I was curious as to what you would recommend for newbie like myself, ideally what I am looking for is something that makes me have more of a natural glow again. My skin just seems dull lately….Not sure if a facial or another kind of treament is preferred but I would love to hear your suggestions!! -
Peyton.Peyton, you have come to the right place! We are predicting a year of extra glowy skin thanks to some of our newest treatments at Synergy. First things first is scheduling a consultation with one of our aesthetics providers to get a baseline assessment of your skin. It may seem difficultto track progress on outcomes for “glowy” or more “radiant” skin, but not at Synergy! We’ll take an in-depth photo of your skin so that we can compare later to see your progress. As for treatments, there are two that immediately come to mind. The first is our SkinergyGLO treatment that is great for a so-called newbie like yourself. We’ve started calling this our forever facial because the glow from this treatment is so long-lasting. The SkinergyGLO includes a manual exfoliation called dermaplaning and then the skin is treated with PDO AfterGlo™, the first Topical Polydioxanone (PDO) Serum. The other treatment I’d recommend for you is SkinVive by Juvederm. This is the first skin hydration treatment of its kind that actually delivers hyaluronic acid (HA) directly into the dermis. SkinVive will last even longer than the forever facial, and you can expect glowing skin from this treatment for 6 to 8 months. Whatever you end up choosing, you can never go wrong by starting the conversation with a highly-trained provider. We hope to see you soon!
Anna Churchill is the founder of Synergy Spa & Aesthetics with two locations in Raleigh. She also teaches corrective makeup and innovative skin care to dermatologists, plastic surgeons, aestheticians, and spa owners worldwide. Email your questions to askanna@trianglestyle.com

When writing about outdoor dining areas, my mind will never not go straight to Mulino Italian Kitchen and Bar. Year-round, this Italian escape offers the most gorgeous outdoor dining experience. Step through the gate and you’ll see beautiful plants + palms plus seating circling their gorgeous pool. With vibrant colors and twinkling lights, you’ll be transported to paradise. Complete your visit with the Amalfi Holiday cocktail + their decadent truffle gnocchi.

After just one visit, you’ll understand why it becomes THE Raleigh hotspot once the temperatures warm up. Wye Hill’s vibrant, inviting feel will keep you coming back for more and makes the perfect place to bring your out of towners!
201 S BOYLAN AVE, RALEIGH WYEHILL.COMI couldn’t dare make this list without including a North Carolina staple like barbeque. Feel-good vibes can always be found on the patio of Sam Jones BBQ! “Rooted in the tradition of Eastern North Carolina whole hog technique that Sam has known his entire life, Sam Jones BBQ also offers a variety of new spins on smoked meat” and we’re thrilled to have his second location be right here in Raleigh. Downtown, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city streets, it’s the perfect place to spend an evening enjoying some comfort food and warmer temps.

Downtown Raleigh’s hottest new spot, Madre, has quickly become my favorite restaurant. Its celebration of motherly hospitality, Spanish-inspired menu, unique dishes for sharing, and absolutely stunning interior have blown me away. While I highly recommend dining inside to experience the incredible design, their outdoor patio is going to be lovely this Spring + Summer, no doubt. This season, their bar will open up to the terrace and create an outdoor gathering place you won’t want to miss.

WHEN CHOOSING NEW BEAUTY PRODUCTS TO TRY, YOU’LL SEE MANY CHOICES ONLINE AND ON STORE SHELVES. SOME OF THEM ARE ALL PACKAGING AND PROMOTION, BUT OTHERS TRULY LIVE UP TO THE HYPE THAT THEY RECEIVE. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR BEAUTY PRODUCTS THAT DESERVE THEIR VIRAL, CULT-LIKE FOLLOWING,
HERE ARE FIVE TO PICK UP RIGHT NOW!
If you have trouble taming your tresses, you need to try ColorWow’s anti-frizz styling spray. It’s perfect for those who can’t keep hair from frizzing and maintains your sleek, shiny smoothness even in high humidity. The results can last up to four shampoos too, meaning you really get more bang for your buck with this frizz-fighter that lives up to its well-deserved reputation.
Everyone needs the perfect red lipstick, and MAC has it. Russian Red is by far its top-selling lipstick that is worth its weight in gold. It’s rich and deep, working beautifully with a wide array of skin tones. Plus, it’s long-lasting and feels dreamy on your lips.
You can’t scroll through any of your social media accounts without seeking this magical foundation. Il Makiage has tons of enthusiastic reviews about its blendable, buildable, streak-free foundation. It blurs fine lines, mitigates redness, and conceals blemishes without looking caked on. This formula uses lightdefusing spheres to minimize imperfections and is infused with vitamin E and hyaluronic for anti-aging hydration to make you look your best. It’s available in 50 shades, ensuring you can find the perfect match.
This mascara nabbed Allure’s Best of Beauty Award for 2022, likely because the formula is smoothly sublime. It doesn’t clump yet provides plenty of pigment while lengthening lashes. The bristles are thin too, allowing you to easily apply to the bottom lash line and corners of your eyes without making a mess. Since it’s smudge-proof too, you can be confident in your look all day long.
Exfoliation is an important step for glowing and gorgeous skin, though many of them disrupt the skin barrier or cause irritations. This gem by Paula’s Choice definitely lives up to the hype it gets as it gently quells breakouts, corrects uneven skin tone, and improves texture to that youthful smoothness. If you have aging or acneprone skin, it’s going to be your game changer!

With warmer days comes a need to breathe some fresh air and touch grass. We’re not all outdoorsy, but we all must try to stay in touch with nature and the beautiful world around us.
Of course, today, technology can come along. In fact, quite a few apps can make your day outside more exciting and memorable. These are the best apps to enjoy the outdoors, whether camping or strolling in your local park.
When exploring unfamiliar territory, you’ll first need a map. Of course, all phones come with handy GPS tracking, but how good are they if you have no Internet connection? Here’s where offline maps come in. Hiking Project is a powerful map-based system with plenty of offline maps. It also identifies hiking trails worldwide, adding new ones every day. We’re sure there are already a couple of exciting trails near you. The best part? You can add your own trails and share them with the world.
If you’re staying out late and the sky is clear, this app will give you hours of entertainment.
the wildlands, safety is essential. Cairn is a dedicated app that will keep you safe wherever you are and, perhaps most importantly, help you return home safely. The Cairn app has several features, including safety tracking and alerts, navigation and cell coverage, even when off the grid. The app can let your loved ones know where you are and will notify whoever you choose in an emergency. Know where you are, where you’re going and how to return to safety, whether you’re exploring a dense forest or a high mountain.
SEEK Seek, by iNaturalist, is a fantastic app with a beautiful interface. It is also your go-to app for when outside. Point the camera at living things, plants, fungi or animals and let it identify them, giving you all the information you need about the plants and creatures around you.You also earn badges for finding and identifying different species, gamifying your outdoor adventure. This app can identify millions of living things; yes, it is as fun as it sounds. It is available for iOS and Android.
Point your phone to the sky and let Star Tracker identify stars, planets and constellations. This immensely satisfying handheld experience is best enjoyed away from the city’s bright lights, where you can actually see the vast universe above you.
Can you spot Mars? How about the International Space Station? Star Tracker is free but offers a PRO version with more features. This app is available for Apple IOS, Android and even virtual reality!
After a long day outside, it’s time to check your mileage. Tracking your steps is a rewarding way of recounting your adventure. Map My Walk does more than count your steps. It will also track your routes, elevation, and pace. This app is perfect for professional and amateur athletes, especially those taking long, exhaustive runs, but it is equally helpful for anyone enjoying the outdoors occasionally. Give yourself some goals and crush them. After all, walking only fifteen minutes a day can significantly impact your health. What are your favorite apps for outdoor exploring?

Opened in 2017 in the heart of North Hills in Midtown Raleigh, the AC Hotel by Marriott Raleigh North Hills invites you to a weekend of pampering and new experiences. Known for its fantastic hotel dining options, AC gives you, quite literally, a taste of Raleigh without ever having to leave the building! For breakfast, the AC kitchen serves up European-inspired morning meals, including freshly baked croissants, assorted cheeses and artisan-cured meats. Though you’ll want to stuff yourself silly in the a.m., save room for the exceptional hand-crafted cocktails and tapas at the hotel’s rooftop lounge, Level7, which features panoramic views of the entertainment district below.
If you want to venture just a few steps outside into the hip North Hills neighborhood, countless activities, restaurants and experiences are at your disposal.
Pamper yourself at a spa or splurge on the bowling alleys, cinemas and shopping within striking distance of your luxurious hotel room. Within walking distance of the hotel, you’ll find an array of global culinary delights—Italian Pinot noir at Vivace, tacos and tequila at bartaco, traditional French fare at Coquette and much more.
If you find breaking a crazy sweat therapeutic, take a motivating class at CYCLEBAR (heart-pumping spin classes) or Midtown Yoga (where hot yoga cures all). Both fantastic fitness centers are just outside of Happy + Hale, perfect for that post-workout smoothie before heading back to crash in your luxurious guest room.
Note: The AC Hotel Raleigh Downtown— and The Willard Rooftop Lounge—is also now open in downtown Raleigh!
The Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel is as classy as it sounds. This four-star hotel is at the epicenter of North Hills and boasts 229 grand guest rooms. This retreat is a shopaholic’s paradise (and not just for clothes). Get ready for some serious retail therapy with shops like Quail Ridge Books (a legendary local bookstore providing an oasis for avid readers for 35 years now), REI for the outdoorsy folks and Lululemon for the trendsetter (among others!). The area's largest indoor shopping mall—Crabtree Valley Mall—is also just a couple of minutes away by car.
Dine at one of the countless fine restaurants around the area, including Rosewater Kitchen & Bar, The Capital Grille and The Cowfish (a fun fusion restaurant where burger-meets-sushi, the milkshakes are a summer staple, and plenty of outdoor seating awaits). Or, head back to the hotel and enjoy an evening at 41Hundred, the hotel’s own upscale restaurant known for whiskey, weekly entertainment and ice cream sodas!
The StateView Hotel overlooks picturesque Lake Raleigh on North Carolina State University's beautiful Centennial Campus and serves as a modern, innovative retreat experience ideal for you and a group of friends.
The StateView offers plenty of experiences inside and outside of its walls. For starters, the advanced amenities and tasteful décor of this tech-savvy and fascinating hotel are worth admiring any time during your stay. You’ll find the attention to detail and innovation truly remarkable. Then, there’s Flask & Beaker—the hotel’s creative, upscale restaurant and a hopping spot to take in beautiful views of Lake Raleigh and dig into a locally curated menu. After your meal, take a stroll through campus—you'll find the incredible James B. Hunt Jr. Library (named among the world's most beautiful libraries) and Lonnie Poole Golf Course (a challenging, NCAA championship-level layout) just outside the front doors of the hotel.
Just a few minutes from downtown Raleigh, The StateView also provides easy access to Raleigh’s finest bars, restaurants and museums, plus a perfect relaxation spot within easy biking distance at beautiful Dorothea Dix Park. You’re also close to PNC Arena, which makes adding sports to your weekend retreat a breeze—the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes (in action October through April for the regular season; April and beyond for the playoffs!) and the North Carolina State University men's basketball team (November through March) call the arena home.
If you’re looking for a fun retreat at one of the City of Oaks' newest hotels, look no further than The Casso, named after the largest and most popular hotel in Raleigh in the 1700s, Casso’s Inn, which was actually on Fayetteville St. about five blocks east from the hotel today.
This pet-friendly, 126-room, seven-story hotel with locally inspired décor is the perfect spot for a fantastic getaway for you, your friends or your family. As you step outside the doors, you’ll discover countless exciting things to begin your Raleigh, N.C., adventure. Directly across the street is Dram & Draught, a neighborhood bar with more than 300 whiskeys from around the world, handcrafted cocktails and draft beer. Step over to Morgan Street Food Hall for a mind-boggling array of mouth-watering food options to be enjoyed on the massive back patio. If you’re itching for a little exercise and want a nimble way to get around the city, head over to the Cardinal Bikeshare station across from the food hall, rent a bike and pedal to your heart's content. For beer enthusiasts, make the easy walk over to Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing for refreshing craft brews, great bar food and what many believe to be the best view of the Raleigh skyline from your table.
Don't miss out on dinner at the hotel's on-site restaurant, Good Day Good Night, to cap off an amazing day of fun and adventure in and around the hotel.
If you really want to be in the center of it all, plan your fall retreat at the Raleigh Marriott City Center, located in the heart of the City of Oaks, where you can enjoy the indoor pool, jacuzzi and fitness center (complete with Peloton bikes) and a Starbucks coffee shop without having to step outside. The Marriott's on-site restaurant, the highly rated Rye Bar & Southern Kitchen, serves up Southern favorites seven days a week at dinner time.
This contemporary hotel is easily accessible to all that downtown has to offer, including its fascinating museums—the North Carolina Museum of History, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, CAM Raleigh (Contemporary Art Museum), Marbles Kids Museum and the City of Raleigh Museum (there's a pretty good reason Raleigh has earned the nickname "the Smithsonian of the South!").
A quick car ride will get you to the State Farmers Market, considered one of the nation’s best and most modern markets, with 75 acres of indoor/outdoor specialty shops, restaurants and garden center, with fruits, vegetables, meats and gifts from across the state.
Although sunny summer days have given way to crisp autumn air, outdoor dining is still ramping up. For walkable outdoor eats, try St. Roch Fine Oysters + Bar, serving up fresh N.C. seafood with just a dash of creole (highly recommended for brunch in addition to dinner). If you’re in the mood for some true Tar Heel State barbecue, pop over to The Pit, offering up authentic whole-hog, pit-cooked barbecue in the Warehouse District. And if you're celebrating a special occasion, chef Chris Hylton's ORO Restaurant & Lounge serves up a contemporary American menu meant for sharing that lives up to the fun, chic atmosphere in the dining room.

Chinese-born American artist Hung Liu (Born in Changchun, China, 1948 – 2021) portrayed individuals who risked being forgotten in death as in life. As a child, Liu lived under the regime of Mao Zedong, who led the Communist Party during the Cultural Revolution (1966 – 1976), a turbulent period of political and social upheaval in the People’s Republic of China. It was during this time that Liu realized photography’s significance when she witnessed her mother burn cherished family photographs, or otherwise risk persecution for being “bourgeois,” or not working class.

As an adult, Liu immigrated to the United States, where she focused on the photographs of the Chinese people who came before her. By manipulating and recontextualizing found images by dripping, splattering, and layering materials, Liu blurred the lines between representation and abstraction and probed photography’s role in shaping collective memory.
Hung Liu: Living Memory explores the artist’s ability to bridge past and present by manipulating the threads of visual memory. Her sensitive portraits illuminate what it means to be Chinese, to be American, and to be a woman. These testimonials make visible the faces of the forgotten. Liu’s portraits remind us that memory is not merely a repository of the past; it is a dynamic force that inflects the past, informs the present, and shapes our future, forging our sense of self while connecting us to the greater human consciousness.
I PAINT FROM HISTORICAL PHOTOGRAPHS OF PEOPLE; THE MAJORITY OF THEM HAD NO NAME, NO BIO, NO STORY LEFT. NOTHING. I FEEL THEY ARE KIND OF LOST SOULS, SPIRIT-GHOSTS. MY PAINTING IS A MEMORIAL SITE FOR THEM.

Liu, Portraits: Written By Lou ScottStories about shipwrecksromantic tales of man against nature, have always caught my fancy. Even so, when I came across a letter written by Henry Hartford, my many times great grandfather, I found a front row seat to another side of the story.
For after the end of the Napoleonic wars, a young Henry Hartford was among the many soldiers traveling back to Ireland. The ship, in an area well known for temperamental seas, was met by heavy gales, spun around and torn apart. Henry was one of its few survivors.
THIS IS THE LETTER THAT HENRY WROTE TO HIS FATHER IN 1816:
My Dear Father, I lose not a moment, though hardly able to write, to acquaint you of our dreadful ship wreck in this bay, yesterday at 2 o’clock. Thanks to the almighty for my miraculous escape! I feel too much at present to attempt giving you a description of so dreadful an occurrence. I can only tell you that out of 304 men in the regiment, 34 women, 33 children, 16 Officers and about 20 sailors, only 4 Officers, 25 rank and file and 2 sailors have escaped perishing.
Never since I was born I never witnessed such a sight, the screams and prayers of all - the sea beating and washing over the ship, every moment sweeping off numbers at a time! Picture to yourself our situation - the beach crowded with people who could render us no assistance, no boat could live in such a sea or put out, on account of the surf.
God only knows how I was saved. I stuck to the wreck till she went to pieces and then took hold of a plank which was washed from me three or four times; but I by Providential direction got hold of others. All I recollect was being completely exhausted and from the cold not able to hold the plant any longer. I was then washed on shore and taken up apparently dead.
I do not know how I recovered, but when I did I found myself before a large fire which for a long time I Fancied was the ship on fire. Every article of our baggage is lost. I am at this moment wearing borrowed clothes. The greater part of the baggage was washed on shore but all plundered last night by the inhabitants, the boxes and chests that were not opened were broken open by the country people about here. I am told that it would take upwards of a thousand men to keep the baggage from being plundered
I have not at this moment more than a few pounds, and I will therefore have to draw upon the agents for some money. I had three dozen of new shirts, that I bought at Deal and got a good bargain of, and intended to bring with me to India, also some new Regimentals and boots. I am told Government will allow money for the loss of our baggage, if so I can keep some of that, for the purpose I got it from you for. I understand they will allow us for what we value our loss at.
Tell my mother, Annie and Beck, I had some presents of silk shawls and handkerchiefs I brought from France, all of which are lost. I will feel much obliged to my mother, if she send me a few shirts and a few pairs of stockings, as I have this moment nothing in the world, but the battered clothes I came on shore with. I am afraid this will not leave Waterford till tomorrow as no post leaves this today. If my mother can send the things to me I will receive them at Waterford where we intend going this evening or tomorrow. She can send them as a parcel direct to the coach office, as we must stop at Waterford for some days to get some clothes, and shirts and stockings are not things to be bought in a hurry.
My shins and thighs are black and blue with striking against the wreck, and my hands and one of my legs cut with some with some of the nails. I feel this moment very stiff in the limbs and tho before a large fire, perishing with the cold. I hope tomorrow to be much stouter, left me have a line from you, I don’t know where I will put up, but you direct me at the Post Office.

IN A HECTIC LIFESTYLE, EVEN THE SMALLEST STEPS TO EXERCISE OR DIET CAN HAVE DRAMATIC EFFECTS ON OUR WELL-BEING. WHEN POSSIBLE, TRY TO FOLLOW SOME OR ALL OF THE TIPS WE SHARED.
Stairs over elevators or escalators are a simple yet effective way to increase your heart rate and strengthen your leg muscles. In fact, climbing the stairs burns more calories compared to jogging. Whether at work, a shopping center, or your apartment building, we recommend that you always take the stairs when possible.
While waiting for water to boil or your food to microwave, seize those moments to engage in quick exercises like squats, lunges, or calf raises. This way, you'll maximize productivity by incorporating exercise into your daily routines without disrupting your schedule.
You can think of this activity as a low-intensity cardiovascular exercise. Simultaneously, your leg muscles will thank you.
When you drive to work or the grocery store, try to park your car farther from the entrance. This will dramatically increase the number of steps you walk. Despite how insignificant this practice may seem, it will at least keep your basal metabolic rate (BMR) high and prevent some weight gain.
For people with sedentary lifestyles (i.e., drive everywhere and work a desk job), parking away from the entrance can be the first step to improve your lifestyle.
If it's doable, opt to walk to the grocery store instead of driving. Although this tip may seem identical to the previous one, it is more physically demanding. This way, you will not only have to walk to and back from the store, but you will actually carry your groceries back home. In a sense, this is a combination of cardiovascular and strength training exercises. A bonus benefit is that you get to enjoy the outdoors, which provides additional benefits – Mental health optimization and reduction in carbon footprint.
Cleaning your living space becomes a workout challenge when you unleash your inner exercise ninja. Use sweeping or vacuuming as opportunities to squat and reach those tricky spots. Turn laundry folding into a stretching session, and embrace your inner gymnast while making the bed. Who said chores couldn't be exercise-related festivities?\\
If your daily commute involves a short distance, consider skipping the car or bus and opt for a bicycle or walking instead. This not only cuts down on carbon emissions but also provides you with an energizing workout. Explore different routes, admire the scenery, and wave to fellow fitness enthusiasts along the way.
Tired of sitting through endless meetings? Turn them into mobile meetings! Suggest a walking meeting or standing discussions whenever possible. Walking and talking not only burns calories but also stimulates creativity and boosts productivity. Your colleagues will thank you for this fresh and invigorating approach to meetings.
Eating too many carbs while on a diet might be a big no-no, but when it comes to feeding your family, you should always have an energy source available. Starches come in all shapes and flavors and have infinite shelf life.
Rice is a delicious side to complement stews and casseroles. It can also become the main course if stir-fried with veggies and your favorite meat. Pasta is equally versatile. Make yourself a cold pasta salad or pasta soup as a starter, or mix it with tomato sauce for a filling and satisfying Italian meal.
Other dry carb sources to always have around include instant mashed potatoes, pancake flour, cereal and oats.
Canned food is relatively cheap compared to its fresh counterpart, and today, there is an immense variety of canned foods. You can store and enjoy canned food anytime, and it lasts at least a year. Canned tuna and peeled tomatoes are two of our favorite canned staples, but there are many others, so bulk buy and stock on the canned food you enjoy the most. Be careful, though. Specialty items can also come in a can. Expensive stuff like smoked mussels, artichokes and crab meat is often overpriced.
Legumes are unique seeds that are surprisingly inexpensive and super nutritious. They add carbs, vitamins, minerals, and protein to your diet. They are also shelf-stable and versatile, catering to all diets.
Many grains fall into this category, but you don’t have to choose. Have different kinds of beans, chickpeas and lentils in your pantry. Boil them in water or stock until tender and turn them into anything, from chili to hummus, from a creamy soup to a wholesome burrito filling.
Legumes can also be healthy snacks. After all, peanuts are legumes and are ten times more nutritious and cheaper than greasy potato chips.
This one is tricky because there are more condiments than one can count, and the right ones to have at home depend on what you cook. Nevertheless, condiments, whether sauces, oils, vinegar, herbs, or spices, are always the secret behind the best home-cooked meals.
If you want to try your hand at making Asian food, you’ll need soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and perhaps fish sauce. If you’re into Mediterranean food, you’ll need dried aromatic herbs, balsamic vinegar, and crushed pepper flakes. Of course, universal condiments like mayo, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce are always good to have around.
pies, and cookies are all delicious, but they’re also more expensive than ever. Well, making them at home is easier than you think. Besides, baking is a lovely hobby and an activity to share with your loved ones.Always have all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder in your pantry, and you’ll never spend two bucks for a chocolate chip cookie again. You can bake brownies, cakes, and cookies in a couple of hours and for little money. The best part? Baking is a skill, so the more you practice, the better you’ll be at it. What are your go-to pantry staples?
