If you are a first-time guest, we invite you to complete a guest card from a pew pocket or the Friendship Register and drop it in the offering plate so that we may get acquainted with you. Also, text “Explore” to 816-355-4736. We would like to communicate with you via text and email with some brief informational messages over the next few weeks. Your information is private and will not be used for any other purpose than to keep you informed about 2BC.
Take a moment to prepare your heart for worship. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and selfcontrol. There is no law against such things. - Galatians 5: 22-23
Please see an usher if you’d like a listening aid.
Each Sunday in the Welcome Center (just inside the Kansas Street entrance on Level 1), Our Hospitality Team is waiting to help you get connected. This may include finding a Bible study class, showing you where children and student ministries meet, or sharing the day’s activities and schedule. You may also enjoy a cup of coffee at the Welcome Center’s coffee bar and get to know others at Second. Children’s worship bags, filled with books and activities, are available at the Sanctuary entrances. If you’d like an alternative for your children, childcare for birth through Pre-K is available on Level 2 at any point in the service. Our Welcome Center is also available for those with restless infants, and you can view the service on a monitor there.
In addition to placing your offering in the offering plate, you can give online at 2bcliberty.org/give or via your smartphone by scanning this QR code. We have “online giving” cards in the pew rack that you can place in the offering plate to represent your gift if you choose.

+Hymn of Praise “ I Come With Joy to Meet My Lord” I come with joy to meet my Lord, Forgiven, loved and free, In awe and wonder to recall His life laid down for me.
LAND OF REST
As Christ breaks bread and bids us share, Each proud division ends. The love that made us, makes us one, And strangers now are friends. And thus with joy we meet our Lord. His presence, always near, Is in such friendship better known; We see and praise Him here. The Spirit of the risen Christ, unseen but ever near, Is in such friendship better known, alive among us here. Together met, together bound by all that God has done. We’ll go with joy, to give the world the love that makes us one. Litany for the Lenten Journey Connie McNeill Leader: O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our Salvation! People:
O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
Leader:
They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they do not regard my ways.
People:
But we boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character,
Leader:
And character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
People:
But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
Each Sunday in Lent we extinguish a candle as we move closer to the darkness of Good Friday.

“In Remembrance of Me” Sanctuary Choir
arr. Lloyd Larson
This anthem was given in memory of former Sanctuary Choir member Louella Reppert by family and friends in 1997. +Passing of the Peace Leader: The Peace of the Lord be always with you. Congregation: And also with you. At this time you’ll be asked to share signs of God’s peace. Greet each other by saying, “Peace of Christ be with you.” Respond, “And also with you.” +Lenten Hymn 242
“Come, Teach Us, Spirit of Our God”
A unison reading of the Apostles’ Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth; I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come again to judge the living and the dead I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
