The Wildwood Boys Bluegrass Band is made up of players who came from other bands and styles of music. David Matson decided to return to playing the bluegrass style and started having jam sessions which attracted other players. Soon after, the Wildwood Boys formed in 2010. An original member of that group was former 2BC member Tom Atkins who played fiddle. Following Tom’s death, his son Collins took his place in the band. Playing with a Missouri Ozark influence, the Wildwood Boys are devoted to preserving the sounds of bluegrass music and the bluegrass pioneers who came before them. We welcome them to 2BC on our 174th anniversary. They will be playing later today at the church picnic at Stocksdale Park.
