SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH

WEEKLY Edition Saturday, April 4 | 9:00 a.m. | Free

We will meet in the Social Room for those wonderful cinnamon rolls made by Steve Carder and helpers. A short program will follow and then all will proceed to the William Jewell College campus for the egg hunt. We’re also using this opportunity to collect donations of nonperishable food and personal care items for In As Much Ministry. Please bring your own baskets. No reservations necessary. Breakfast is for all ages, the egg hunt is for children through 5th grade.

Candy Donations Needed Our 2BC Easter Bunnies need to fill lots of eggs with candy for our egg hunters! Would you consider donating bags of individuallywrapped candy? You can drop them off in the bin in the Welcome Center by March 25.

Order forms may be picked up at the Welcome Center desk, or you may also order online at 2bcliberty.org/lilies. Lilies are $15, and must be paid for at the time of ordering. You may take home the number of lilies you purchased following the 11 a.m. worship service Easter Sunday. If you have someone you would like to honor, remembrance orders will be taken until the deadline on Sunday, March 29.

Save Your Egg Cartons!

Drop off in the bin in the Welcome Center by March 15 The Children’s Ministry needs to collect 25-30 egg cartons for a Lent activity in Sunday School classes. Please bring your clean empty egg cartons (cardboard, not styrofoam, please!) and drop them off in the marked Welcome Center bin by March 15.

Annual Church Retreat May 29-30

Please Note Date Correction from the March LOOP One of the most exciting programs we will launch this year is our collective action initiative, or what we are calling the dream initiative, at our church retreat. We will collectively identify, prioritize, and ultimately name a key problem in our community and develop the processes, resources, and implementation plan to mitigate and/or resolve a community issue while strengthening community relationships. Watch for more information!

Renovatio

Share A Prayer Story

We’re planning a guide for Renovatio, our special churchwide time of renewal this summer, and we are looking for stories from our congregation about how you and yours have personally experienced God through prayer. Please jot down a paragraph or two to tell your story. Where do you pray? How do you pray? What have you prayed about? Have your prayers been answered? Send your thoughts to Sue Wright at suewrights@att.net, or bring to Terri Soper in the church office. You can call Sue at 816-781-1568 with questions. If you’d feel more comfortable, you can call her and tell her your story, and she will put it down on paper. The more stories we have, the more helpful our Renovatio guide will be! Sanctuary
