Palm Sunday: Children Participate
As Jesus rode over the mountain toward Jerusalem, the huge crowd was so happy to see him and waved palm tree branches and shouted together, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Children in Pre-K through fifth grade will have the opportunity to join in the parade of waving palm branches during the worship services on April 13. For the 8:30 service, children will simply meet at the back of the chapel and receive a palm branch. For the 11:00 service, please come to the Assembly Room directly behind the sanctuary by 10:50 (right after Bible Study) to receive your branch and get lined up. For both services, the children will “parade” through the chapel/sanctuary during the first hymn, then return to their seats for the remainder of worship. “May there be peace and glory in the highest heaven!”
