Year-End Giving Deadline Dec. 31 December is the time we often offer additional gifts to groups and organizations we believe in. As you prepare to offer charitable gifts this December, please remember Second Baptist Church.Your support contributes to mission efforts around the world, and locally as well as the spiritual nurturing of people of all ages, meaningful care, gospel-shaped worship and more. The deadline for contributions is December 31, 2015. The church office will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. that day if you would like to drop off contributions. If you choose to mail a contribution, the letter must be postmarked by December 31, 2015.
New Online Giving Option in January Beginning in January, the church will change our vendor for online giving to VANCO. As before, those who wish to give online will find an icon at 2bcliberty.org/give which will lead you directly to VANCO, so you can use your debit/credit card to donate to the church. (The church does not have access to your card information.) If you are currently donating online, you will receive an email with information about how to make the switch to VANCO. With the new system, you will be able to purchase Wednesday night meals, VBS t-shirts, camp fees and other items with a debit/credit card online or in the church office. You can also use a mobile app to donate via your smartphone. We continue to offer an automatic withdrawal option from your bank for your convenience, and more information about signing up for that is available from Linda Jones, Church Administrator, ljones@2bcliberty. org. The advantage of giving online, through the mobile app or through an ACH withdrawal for you and the church is that you can determine a set amount, and it will come to the church automatically even though you might be out of town or might forget your checkbook. We are excited about these additional options and more information will be coming in January. For any additional information, please contact Linda Jones.

Ministerial Staff Action Steps: • We have started to provide more opportunities in the Liberty community with the launch of the School Connections Team • We are evaluating ways to engage families in volunteering with local ministries like Inasmuch and Love INC • We continue to cultivate opportunities to have more of our church family participate in the SEND initiative both in the US and in the world.
Next week we will share findings around the children and youth ministries.

New Executive Coordinator for MOPS
An introduction from Kristin Wooldridge, outgoing Executive Coordinator: MOPS@2BC is blessed to have Michele Fischer as the new Executive Coordinator. She brings years of MOPS experience from her many Steering Team roles. She has been serving alongside me for years, and I believe she will lead this group very well. After my decade of service to this ministry, she will be a great successor. She and her husband, Craig, have three children: Emma, a fourth grader at Doniphan; Lia, a kindergartener next year; and Bennett, who will be three this January. Before staying home, Michele was an early elementary teacher, and she has managed a locally-owned chain of day care facilities. She has a warm spirit and an inspiring dedication to serve moms. A thank you from Michele Fisher: MOPS@2BC would not be the amazing group of nearly 100 women it is today without the leadership and wisdom Kristin Wooldridge put into it. She has helped countless women realize their true potential as a mom, leader, woman, and mentor. She has instilled in our hearts the importance of showing grace to not only those around us, but to ourselves. This is one of the most important lessons, we, as women, can ever learn. We are thankful and grateful for her 10+ years of leadership in our group.
