Sunday Mornings with Us . . .
For the fourth time, the Student Choir at Second Baptist Church will be participating in the YouthCue Festival of Youth Choirs at Baylor University, Waco, TX, February 21-23. Our Student Choir previously participated in this Festival in 2006, 2009, and 2012. YouthCue is a nonprofit, multidenominational organization which seeks to foster the growth and development of church youth choirs throughout the United States. This year 22 students and chaperones will travel to Baylor for a wonderful experience of choral singing. They need your help! The costs of travel, lodging, and the Festival can stretch the budgets of some of our families. So we are holding another fundraiser to help
This year’s lunch will take place on Sunday, February 2, at noon, right after 11:00 a.m. worship. It’s also Super Bowl Sunday, so you will still have plenty of time to get to those parties. After the lunch, you will hear from the Student Choir and then the big pie auction will take place. Cost of the meal is $5.00 and reservations are requested. Tickets will be available in January from any Student Choir member or the church office. For more information, please contact Allan Aunspaugh at 781-2824 or aaunspaugh@2bcliberty.org.

The Pedalin' Prof: Stories with Ed Chasteen February 5, 12, 19 & 26 Social Room
One of the “joys” of parenthood is the constant question, “Am I doing the right thing?” While there are no blackand-white answers, there can be comfort in community support and collaborative effort in “training up your child”.
Prof. Ed Chasteen is a storyteller. He is also a person of tremendously deep faith. Join him in February as he tells stories of his journey across the nation (on a bicycle), of his time as a professor at William Jewell College, and how during all of this time he has tried to ask about how Jesus intersects with our culture.
Join us for five Wednesday evening sessions to ask questions, offer opinions and engage in discussion about raising our children. We will offer thoughts about topics from good health practices for your kiddo to talking to your child about Jesus. Feel free to offer suggestions for topics of discussion. For more information, contact Gwen Phillips, gphillips@2bcliberty.org.
