PRAYER CONCERNS CELEBRATION Congratulations to Adam and Mandy (Moore) Medlock on the birth of their son, Samuel Allen Medlock, on May 16. Samuel joins big brother Joey. Proud grandparents are Rae and Jeff Moore and great-grandparents Gary and Bev Moore. CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY Christian sympathy is extended to Neita and Don Geilker and family in the death of Neita’s aunt, Jessie Payne, on May 16 in Clarksville, AR. Christian sympathy is extended to Kim and John Kern, brother Jackson, and the friends of John Luke Kern, a Second Friends student, who passed away May 15. GETTING TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER Worship Leaders Today

Becky Dempsey is a deacon and choir member, a former children’s Bible study and worship leader. She acts in films, commercials and plays, is a Teaching Artist for Kansas City Young Audiences, and is Assistant Theater Director for Liberty Public Schools. She is involved with the Drama Ministry here at Second. Davis Fulk is a fifth grader at Franklin Elementary. He is the son of David and Carolyn Fulk. Marti Mauzey has been active in the music ministry for many years. She loves being grandma to Xander, Ali and Audrey. Marti and Bill have been married eight years and have two spoiled dogs, Bo and Talley. Ron Mullennix and Kathy have been members of 2BC since 1977. Ron is a partner with in the Liberty law firm of Withers Brant Igoe and Mullennix, PC. Fred and Shari Poindexter joined 2BC in January of 2011. They share their home with Shari’s dad.


Getting Connected Each Sunday in the Welcome Center (just inside the Kansas Street entrance on Level 1), our Connections Team is waiting to help you get “connected.” This may include finding a Bible study class, showing you where children and student ministries meet, or sharing the days’ activities and schedule. You may also choose simply to enjoy a cup of coffee at the Welcome Center’s coffee bar and get to know others at Second.
