Welcome Diana Butler Bass Diana Butler Bass is an author, speaker, and independent scholar specializing in American religion and culture. We were blessed this weekend to have Diana lead our Life Together Retreat. She joins us this morning as our guest preacher. Diana holds a Ph.D. in religious studies from Duke University and is the author of eight books, including Christianity After Religion: The End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening (HarperOne, 2012). GETTING TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER Worship Leaders Today

Greg Duncan has been a member of 2BC since 1990. He is a deacon and has served on a number of committees. He teaches the Connections Class. Greg is VP of Cates Auction & Realty and is on the Liberty City Council. Angie Fuller came to Second in 1997. She serves in the Music and Children’s Ministries and on the Arts and Environment Team. She also teaches at Second Friends Preschool. Angie and David are parents to Naomi and Adam. David Fuller joined Second after graduating from William Jewell College. He is a deacon serving on the Ordinance Team. David is an Operations Research Analyst for the Department of the Army at Ft. Leavenworth. Christy Edwards is married to Senior Pastor Jason Edwards and is mother to Jackson, Luke, and Norah. Christy is involved in the women’s ministry, 2BC community groups, and MOPS. Jason Edwards is Senior Pastor. He was called to Second Baptist in 2009. (Learn more about our ministry team at 2bcliberty.org/ meetourstaff.) Connie McNeill was ordained by Second in 1984. She was a member of Second for 25 years before moving to Atlanta to work for national CBF. Last fall she returned to Liberty to work at Wentworth Military Academy and College. Tyler Tankersley is the Associate Pastor of Students and Spiritual Formation. He and Jess have an almost-two-year-old son, Henry, (July 3) and are expecting their second son in September. Getting Connected Each Sunday in the Welcome Center (just inside the Kansas Street entrance on Level 1), our Connections Team is waiting to help you get “connected.” This may include finding a Bible study class, showing you where children and student ministries meet, or sharing the days’ activities and schedule. You may also choose simply to enjoy a cup of coffee at the Welcome Center’s coffee bar and get to know others at Second.
