The Mathematics of God 10.19.14
Welcome Guests If you are a first-time guest, please complete a guest card from a pew pocket or Friendship Register and drop it in the offering plate so that we may acknowledge your visit and get acquainted with you. We are glad you have joined us for worship today. ________________________ Meditation I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give. I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare. In other words, if our expenditure on comforts, luxuries, amusements, etc., is up to the standard common among those with the same income as our own, we are probably giving away too little. If our charities do not at all pinch or hamper us, I should say they are too small. There ought to be things we should like to do and cannot do because our charitable expenditures excludes them. – C.S. Lewis We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give. – Winston Churchill Dearest Lord, teach me to be generous; teach me to serve You as You deserve; to give and not to count the cost. – Ignatius of Loyola _________________________________

Hungry, I come. Thirsty, I come. Hungry, I come to You. Hungry, I come. Thirsty, I come to the feast of wine and bread, by your mercy I am fed. For the bread of Your body, for the wine of Your blood. For You, Word incarnate, I come, I come. Let us break bread together on our knees. Let us break bread together on our knees. When I fall on my knees, with my face to the rising sun, O Lord, have mercy on me. ©2007 by Fred Bock Music Company. All Rights Reserved. UBP

Prayers of the People The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. +Hymn 301
