QUALITY
Quality assurance and quality control (quality management)
Our office is certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2015. This is a standard from the overall DIN EN ISO 9000ff series, the most important and best-known QM standard. It is a globally recognized standard that defines the requirements for effective QM in our office. ISO 9001 certification specifies requirements for QM along the entire value chain. This system is adhered to and maintained by all employees in our office.

Besides our company achieved the ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, which certificates are the results of the strong commitment of TSPC to pursue a sustainable development model with low impact on the environment and a maximal occupational health and safety for all our employees.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT DURING
PLANNING AND EXECUTION
With the start of our familiarization and evaluation of the basics of a project, various work steps, tasks, project characteristics and other details are summarized and defined in close coordination with the client and the disciplines (including documentation concepts, project participant list, plan numbering systems more) and made available in the form of tables and matrix documents and distributed as a basis for all persons and companies involved in the project.
PROJECT ORGANISATION
Communication is continuous, open, and transparent between all participants.
Tasks, areas of responsibility and competence are clearly defined with the associated decision-making and directive powers and responsibility regulations.
Through our internal quality management manual & through the corresponding job description available to each employee, the structure, and powers, as well as responsibilities are regulated internally -> common project goal with smooth project processing and project handling.
Project Manager and Project leader: leads the team and controls the project: control of planning, deadline monitoring, cost control, deadlines, and handover to the client -> responsible for the specified project goals.
The primary contact with the client is the PM. Depending on the complexity of the project, one or more PMs and PLs manage the project, with administrative support from the PM assistant.
Team structure: actual project work, composition with different factors: Ability of team members to work together, experience, expertise, professional competence, etc.
SUSTAINABILITY
Buildings are designed to be used. Our goal in every division of TSP Group is to create environmentally friendly buildings that satisfy not only the occupants but also the operators, while causing minimal environmental impact during construction. We define a building as green when, throughout its implementation, operation, and potential demolition, extension, or renovation, we consistently consider its environmental impact and choose the best possible solutions. If a building becomes difficult or expensive to maintain, its usability will deteriorate over time. Therefore, we aim not only for simple green buildings but comprehensive green buildings, where eco-friendly solutions are integrated from the initial design phase to demolition or renovation. We remain abreast of the latest and most innovative solutions in every aspect of the building and construction industry, employing modern, cost-effective, and high-quality methods to protect our environment.
DESIGN SOFTWARE, BIM
Our office started implementing BIM workflows 7 years ago, and since then, we have been placing great priority on developing processes that optimize design and eliminate errors. This allow us to focus on those parts of the design process that were traditionally not emphasized in previous practices but are crucially important. Our 14-member BIM team, one of the largest in Hungary, has accumulated significant experience over these years, on numerous projects. There is the ongoing debate of whether open or closed BIM is better, we believe neither answer is entirely true, which is why we consider it important for a firm to be proficient in both areas. That’s exactly what we have done, as we utilize popular design software in both areas, such as Revit and ArchiCAD.
For example, we use the possibilities of parametric design, that allows for flexible and efficient exploration of design possibilities, by writing algorithms. It enables automated optimization and iteration, reducing manual labour.
Our office is equipped with the latest and most used architectural design software, ensuring that we stay up to date with industry standards and best practices:
Autodesk Revit
Graphisoft ArchiCAD
Tekla Structures
Nemetschek Allplan
Grasshopper
Rhinoceros 3D
3ds Max
Solibri Model Checker
Bexel
Photoshop
By leveraging these software tools, we can enhance our workflow, collaborate seamlessly, and produce high-quality architectural solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our clients.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
At TSPC Group, we understand the transformative power of cutting-edge technology. While traditional engineering practices remain our foundation, we are actively exploring the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance our services. AI offers exciting possibilities for optimizing designs, analyzing vast sets of data to inform our complex visions, and even automating repetitive tasks within the engineering process. By integrating AI responsibly, we aim to unlock a new level of efficiency and innovation, ensuring we continue to deliver the industry’s most groundbreaking solutions.
TSPC CEED
(CLIMATE, ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN)
SPECIALIST TEAM
The TSPC CEED specialist team enables creating a built environment that delivers high performance with less technology. In terms of sustainability and environmental conscious climate resiliency the CEED projects’ high-performance buildings perform at an until now unreached level of efficiency in operation energy consumption, carbon footprint, comfort and healthy indoor environment as well as construction investment expenses. The services of the group offer complete building design solutions (in all design stages) supported by complex building climate, comfort, energy and aerodynamic simulations. CEED also provides building physics design support, optimization, plan supervision and consulting for design teams (architecture, services and electrical systems, etc.), green building labeling support (e.g. BREEAM, LEED), building services system optimization and building structures energy and comfort optimization. By designing buildings, city districts, or even entire settlements, we take into consideration new design aspects, such as climate, energy, bionics, aerodynamics, lighting technology, low tech, high tech, building skin technologies, future climate change scenarios.
KEY CALCULATIONS
• Dynamic thermal simulations serve optimal implementation of thermal comfort, air quality, architectural energy performance, building services sizing and system analysis, active and passive operation and control technology.
• Light simulations enable to create high level of visual comfort, innovative natural and artificial lighting.
• Aerodynamic (CFD) simulations model passive ventilation and cooling as well as building shape design.
• LCA-LCC modeling.
• Climate and energy simulation-based payback calculation from the perspective of construction costs and operating costs.
FIRE AND SMOKE SIMULATIONS
In cases specified by legal regulations or authorities the heat- and smoke draining shall be created in the building according to the required safety level. The FDS simulation software (Fire Dynamics Simulator) applied by TSPC presents the modelled fire incident by using the equations for the complex physical-chemical processes taking place during burning. The operation smoke control systems under design can be analyzed during several simulation runs. As a result, the position of smoke control equipment, the required surface area and number of smoke vents and performance of smoke exhaust fans can be determined. We pay special attention to the application of verified modelling procedures during our work, thereby approaching real-life processes as much as possible.
ADVANTAGES OF THE SMOKE- AND FIRE PROPAGATION MODEL
Results are as close to reality as possible.
Secondary effects of fire may be investigable in a unique building design.
Suitable to modelling air-movements inside a room and hereby to design jet fan systems and makes it possible to analyze various turbulent fluxes (jet fans).
lt is possible to investigate the temperature conditions evolve at a given point in space and provides temperature data for structural design.
Reveals operational deficiencies of hand calculated smoke control systems.
EVACUATION SIMULATION
One of the cardinal points of fire safety design is to ensure secure conditions for evacuation of those present in the building or participating in events. By the application of simulation software, the movement paths and the possible occurrence of crowd congestion at choke points could be visualized during the evacuation of the modeled building.
The emergency egress simulator used by TSPC is based on mathematical modeling of real-life processes. The algorithms applied by the program have been created based on experiments performed by scientific methods. The simulation takes the changing speed of the individuals, group dynamics, the simultaneities, and the time course of the evacuation process into account. This way it gives more accurate and more favorable results than other manual calculation methods.
The evacuation models are created uniquely according to the architectural design provided in all cases.
ADVANTAGES OF EVACUATION MODEL
Provides reliable and fast results.
With optimization of the escaping routes the useful floor space increases.
Suitable to analyze movement, often thousands of people at the same time.
3D movement of the investigated persons is spatially like reality.
Persons are able to react dynamically to the alterations on escaping route.
Considers the moving dynamics of related persons and groups (e.g., families).
The simulation can consider the evacuation of occupants in need of assistance.
Provides detailed data output of the evacuation process.

SWIMMING POOL OF SZEGED
In the Tiszavirág swimming pool, a 50-metre competition pool complying with the World Aquatics requirements with a movable partition and ten lanes, a warm-up and warm water pool and a relaxing seating pool are waiting for the visitors. A 1200-seat grandstand has been built in the swimming pool hall. The naturally lit pool hall can also be used for television broadcasting as special sports lighting has been installed. The sports complex is doing more for a sustainable environment: 320 new trees have been planted, a solar park of 750 panels has been installed on
the roof, and the purified pool water that becomes surplus during water exchange is used to irrigate the surrounding green areas and the green roof together with rainwater. The area has 188 bicycle parking spaces, 14 bus parking spaces, 317 car parking spaces and disabled parking spaces to facilitate easy and quick access. In addition to the swimming pools, the sports complex also includes a wellness area, gym, conference room, crèche, classrooms, offices and shops.
SERVICES: general architectural design, BIM, sports technology
The sport facilities were designed for the 2017 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival including the service functions for the athletes in addition to sports fields and other facilities. The main functional units are placed into two compact buildings connected by a central entrance hall. This central building is the face of the sports complex. The building block, well-identifiable from the main approaching direction, is located at the Bercsényi Street side of the lot. The athletics racing track and the connecting athletics centre are situated behind it; the latter provides for winter trainings as well. The grandstand, the tennis courts the warm-up and training tracks are also located here.
The parking lots have been placed at the two sides of the main building, ensuring optimal accessibility of the various functional units. Our objective was to design a building complex that can be built and operated economically, featuring a modern and stylish design that meets contemporary expectations.

HUNGARIAN UNIVERSITY OF SPORTS SCIENCE ALKOTÁS STREET
As part of the campus development of the University of Physical Education, various sports facilities have been planned in the Alkotás Street block, including a 50 m indoor swimming pool, indoor athletics hall, gymnasium, ball courts and shooting range, and a 400-seat dormitory. The development of the site will also include the reconstruction of the historic garden, which will be open to the public as well as to students and staff of the university.
A spectacular element is the plan for sports fields on the roof of the building: the largest roof terrace in Budapest, with a 320-metre running track, an outdoor training park, a green arbour and a café terrace on 9,000 m2 . The build -
ing on Alkotás Street will have a fine concrete façade. The cladding has both perforated and embossed elements, the perforation running through the building as a shell of openness and transparency, as intended by the designers.
The Hauszmann Historic Garden becomes a cosy green recreation area on the campus: the sheltered garden is enclosed by the 13-metre-high wall of the athletics hall.
TSPC’s designers wanted to visually “continue” the historical heritage with a special solution: a vertical garden. SERVICES: general architectural design, BIM, green building certification, site coordination

The Csörsz Street block of the University of Physical Education was completed in several phases. The area includes an internationally certified athletics track with a 400-metre, eight-lane running track, an artificial turf football pitch and two outdoor tennis courts. The campus includes a multi-purpose hall with 1,300 seats for handball, basketball, volleyball and gymnastics training and competition. The halls also have a lobby for university events, a 200-space indoor garage and a 700-square-metre gym. A special design element of the project was the special fence on the BAH node, called the colonnade. The colonnade is an undulating curved boundary motif with a grid dynamic, reflecting the circulation of the BAH hub. When the University of Physical Education was developing the sports fields, it was a priority to ensure that the campus facilities were suitable for the education of students with disabilities, thus supporting their preparation for the Paralympics.

Lőrinc Csernyus, the designer of the pavilion, a former student and colleague of Imre Makovecz, has created a building that combines traditional Hungarian architectural elements with modern technology. The building is a Makoveczi-style, multi-storey, double-layered, timber-framed structure consisting of an inner dome and an outer shell. No concrete, reinforced concrete or cement was used in the dry technology pavilion. The Hungarian pavilion is located in the World Expo area, in the Mobility District, which is part of three thematic districts: opportunity, sustainability and mobility. The building showcases special treasures, focusing on Hungary’s spa and thermal water treasures and promoting the related tourist destinations.
SCOPE OF WORK : WHB general contractor
Hotel Dorothea is being built by refurbishing and reconstructing a monument of three buildings built in different eras, in the centre of Budapest. TSPC’s architects and engineers worked with an international architectural firm on the design plans of the special, luxurious hotel. The renovated building complex will be enriched with quality details, luxurious suites, apartments, a 900 m2 steel glazed courtyard and roof terrace and a sky restaurant. Additional challenge was to find a common ground for the existing structural and geometrical features and the strict corporate standards of the hotel chain.
During the restoration of the façades of the buildings bearing the architectural style of the 1800s and 1900s, the aim was to preserve their original design while their roof level will be refurbished with a look that reflects the refined architectural design and technical standards of today. The design and construction are carried out in cooperation between Italian and Hungarian companies.

BOTANIQ CASTLE OF TURA year
2015 2019
As part of a complete monument reconstruction, the Schossberger Castle in Tura was renovated in three phases. The restoration of the Neo-Renaissance-style castle, built in 1883, covered every detail, for example, the roof-slates used for the roof renovation were obtained from the same slate mine as at the time of the original construction. The former aristocratic residence now functions as an elegant hotel with nineteen rooms.
The castle has been completely renovated in accordance with heritage conservation regulations and surveys of monument specialists, complete with a reception building, a swimming pool and wellness area, an MEP system and a section ensuring the operation serving the modern function.
The castle offers impressive rooms and a special spatial experience to the guests. The social spaces are located on the ground floor, where there are salons of different sizes and styles, a ballroom, a dining room, a bar, a cigar room and a café in the palm house.
The rehabilitation included the arrangement and replanting of a ten-and-a-half-hectares park with ‘Methuselah’ trees and the restoration of historic walkways.

The building’s “cape” is a perforated spatial membrane, always changing, creating subtle light and shadow play. The interior spaces and shapes are clean, transparent and convey an uplifting feeling. Light is a particularly important component and shaper of the interior and exterior of the building.
On the ground floor, an open space provides services that generate community activity; a lobby, a café, a museum shop, an events centre and a community space with a separate entrance. It also houses the museum ticket office information desk. The first and second floors house the two exhibition spaces and associated museum education spaces, while the top floor houses a temporary exhibition and events space and a large roof terrace.

2019–KINIZSI OFFICE BUILDING
year
The former Tobacco Factory of Ferencváros is given a new life: the former warehouse building is transformed into a high-quality modern office building. The building constructed by the design of TSPC has two parts: the existing building in Kinizsi Street and the new wing to be constructed will be joined in an exciting encounter. Thanks to the perimetric development method part of the plot will be converted into an inner courtyard. The interior design was determined by the ‘green concept’ and the requirements of the WELL and LEED certifications.
The main entrance of the new building opens into the lobby area. The café – open for the public – and the conference area are accessible from here. On the ground floor of the existing building there is a restaurant, a gym and a co-working office, on the upper floors there are rental offices with common areas, in the attic there is a skybar and a roof terrace.

The aim of the project is the design of a modern education centre that in terms of mass and scale, matches the Art Nouveau-style wing of the existing Aranybika Szálló building as well as the historical environment. Part of the design plan is the historic renovation of the original listed building of the former hotel, so the hotel will represent the patinated past of the Aranybika Szálló with its interior de -
sign solutions and facade appearance and will become a defining colour spot for the city in the future. TSPC team designed a building that creates a visual balance and symmetry with its mass formation and use of materials. The factory built in Tiszapüspöki, processes corn. Its main products are fructose-glucose syrup (isosugar), starch, high-purity alcohol, corn gluten (corn protein), corn germ and fibrous feedstock (CGF). The treatment phases of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) built turnkey by UTB Envirotec Zrt. are: (1) mechanical phase, (2) anaerobic biological phase and (3) aerobic biological phase with UTB’s own Cyclator technology. The biogas produced in the anaerobic phase is utilized in the factory after purification. The aerobic excess sludge is mechanically thickened and dewatered.
The recipient of the effluent is the river Tisza. The 6-month commissioning was successful, it ended in January 2018. The WWTP’s capacity is 5,500 m3/d, 261,000 PE.

INTERMODAL HUB year
2016
The City of Tatabánya has launched a tender for the construction of an intermodal hub. The planned pedestrian-cycle flyover bridge spans the tracks and platforms, from where access to the platforms is provided via stairs and escalators on both sides and lifts between them. The bridge is a sophisticated, skeleton-like structure, a combination of white reinforced concrete and steel, which stretches out like a wing and connects the parts of the city cut in two by railway tracks. The plan also includes the station reception building,
which is located parallel to the tracks in the traditional layout of a through station, and houses the station functions. It houses the ticket offices, passenger information with associated office and social areas; the lobby; the waiting room; the catering industry; the necessary social block; the security service residence; the necessary storage and warehousing; the mechanical room; the electrical and telecommunications rooms. Both the bridge and the reception building have been designed with full accessibility.

SZÉLLKAPU
Budapest’s modern recreational park, Millenáris Széllkapu opened with the largest three-dimensional vertical garden in Central Europe, a cherry tree grove, a forest-field-lake trio, spectacular design solar panels and 330 new trees. Parking cars caused serious problems around the park, cars looking for parking spaces were a familiar sight around Millenáris Park. The 500-space underground garage, with electric car charging stations and a bicycle storage room significantly improved the parking situation.
The vegetation appears here as well: the fair-faced concrete elements around the entrance are covered with a varied green surface.
