Passing rate drops to 37.7%...

TSU yields 23New CEs; Nucup, included to top 20 Pauline G. Gaña

Out of the 3,168 passers of the November Civil Engineer Licensure Examination, 23 TSU alumni successfully obtained their license.

Leading the roster of passers is Kelvin Renz Nucup, reaping a rating of 94.90%, placing him in the top 20. However, TSU was not able to surpass the national passing rate of 48.12% after garnering only 37.7%. Camilo Rivera, CE Department Chairman explained. To inhibit the same results, CE Department are considering possible

avenues of screening students before taking the Licensure Exam in preparation for the board exam. The passers also include Janine Rianne Bagsic, Shearlyn Ramos, Charmy Joy Quaresma, Merwin Pascua, Ellen Jane Bacarro, Mark Anthony Maniego, Shiela Marie Tamayo, Dan Laurence Yumul, Aeron Paul Antonio, Noriel Antonio, Staitap Philip Ramos, Camille Ann Pineda, Abigail Dayrit, Raymart Espinosa, Joemark Gil Garcia, Aries Lauria, Deerick Bandong, Ariel Roque, Christian Simpit, Jeremiah Michael Sampang and Alfred Capulong.

To help our fellow Filipinos victimized by super typhoon Yolanda, Supreme Student Council (SSC), College Student Councils and different student organizations of TSU in partnership with Tarlac School of Arts and Trades (TSAT) joined hands in collecting and donating goods. In this relief operation, 23 boxes of canned goods, 79 plastic bags of clothes, 14 boxes and seven plastic bags of noodles, four boxes and 11 plastic bags of bottled water, five sacks of rice grain, 15 boxes of personal hygiene items (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.), one box of tetra pack and another three boxes of assorted goods (Energen, matches and candles, biscuits) were gathered. Turning over of collected goods to

ABS-CBN and GMA did not materialize since they no longer accept relief goods. In this regard, SSC sought help from PNP Tarlac in transport of collected goods to our kababayans who are in need. “It’s really a life-changing experience to spearhead this relief operation program namely Sarap Tumulong. SSC would like to thank all the organizations, faculty, students, admin staff and volunteers. Christian Paul Sunga, SSC Senator for Public Information, said.

Bayanihan Concert, kinansela; Ilang estudyante, dismayado Roel R. Dela Cruz

PALIWANAG NG SSC AT REFUND “Cancelled ‘yung concert kasi we were aiming for 2.5K ticket sales. Iyon ang compromise namin with the production

team behind the concert. Pero we only reached more or less,” paliwanag ni Lani Juanne Mae Puri, SSC Vice-President.
