FIRST SEM PROJECTS RECWEEK Recruitment Week (RecWeek), with a Hawaiian theme that centers on the idea of Ohana, was an avenue for the organization to showcase to the Loyola Schools Community our advocacy and attract fellow students to join Tugon in achieving its goals and objectives but more importantly in spreading awareness of the advocacy it’s fighting for. ADVOCACY TALK To further branch out the advocacy, an Advocacy Talk was held open to the public with the topic Changing Mindsets. This talk was facilitated in order to present its attendees with a new perspective about issues such as child sexual abuse and abandonment. Speakers included person who were very well-versed in the organization and its advocacy. YEAR LAUNCHER Year Launcher was the organization’s first General Assembly as a whole including all the Recommitted Members and new accepted members. It welcomed everyone formally to the organization and served as an avenue for old members to meet and bond with new members through the different games and activities. The members were also sorted into their respective houses in the organization to make them feel more involved with their newfound TUGON family. FORMATION SESSION 1

The first reflection session, focusing on child sexual abuse, allowed Tugoners to know more about the advocacy through the insights shared by the guest speaker. It also became an avenue for “kamustahan”, allowing the members to share the journey they’ve been having as Tugoners so far. Formation Sessions: This 3-day seminar focused on strengthening and fostering bonds between Tugoners while putting emphasis on the importance of having teamwork for projects and activities, enabling the recommitted members to feel confident and energized to take on leadership roles for the year ahead.


TSL DAY OUT On the 15th of October, the girls of Tahanan Sta. Luisa and the Tugoners experienced a fun-filled day at the Sumulong farm in Antipolo. The group enjoyed a boodle lunch where lechon manok and liempo were served. Then, they combatted through an amazing race wherein they played various games, went fishing, and interacted with several farm animals. BAKE SALE

Bake Sale’s theme this year is the hot air balloon, in which it tries to serve a double purpose; to lift up the spirits of those who try and buy our baked goods by indulging in its deliciousness, and to try and lift up the lives of the babies and girls of our partner institutions because proceeds of the project will go to them as well. ULTIMATE GIRLS DAY OUT On the 22nd of October, the girls from Tahanan Sta. Luisa, Cribs NB, and Meritxell explored the possibilities of their futures during the Ultimate Girls Day Out held in the Ateneo de Manila University. The girls experienced being a scientist, an artist, a stylist, and more through various activities such as rainbow-in-a-bottle making and pencil case decorating. Furthermore, the babies of Concordia and Cribs RH snuggled up with their ates and kuyas in the Babies room, where they colored, played, and watched movies! CRIBS RH DAY OUT On the 29th of October, the toddlers of Cribs RH visited the Art in Island museum in Cubao. The children, care-givers, and Tugoners posed with different works of art and various mind-boggling optical illusions! This was definitely one for the (photo) books! CHANGE CAN CHANGE CCC has been a staple project under the CorRel department ever since it won the COA Minimum Investment Maximum Impact Project of the Year last A.Y 2014-2015. It aims to garner the spare change of customers from our partner establishments, to help TUGON change and improve the lives of the babies and girls of our partner institutions by using the collected money to help provide their needs. GIVE BACK CARD The Give Back Card also serves as an ID card to our members, it has their names on it and it has access to multiple perks and privileges from our partner establishments. The much appreciated efforts of the members in supporting the advocacy are never unnoticed so the Give Back Card tries to really give back to them by providing them these handy and useful perks. MERITXELL GIRLS DAY OUT The Meritxell Girls Day Out was held on November 5 at SM Marikina. The goal of the day out was simple: to give the girls something they’ve never experienced before, which was to watch a movie in a cinema. The day out aimed to give the girls the whole of the movie experience, including the cinema, popcorn, drinks, and candy. It also facilitated bonding between the girls and their NSTP ates & kuyas over the movie, DreamWorks Trolls. MERITXELL BABIES DAY OUT The Meritxell Babies Day Out was held on the 5th of November at the Faura AVR in the Loyola Schools. The day out exposed the babies to a new environment wherein they could run, laugh and bond with their ates and kuyas outside the confines of their center. The slumber party theme gave the babies a soft and fluffy environment full of pillows, blankets, and stuffed toys along with pajama-dressed Tugoners to play and watch movies with them. FORMATION SESSION 2 The second formation session was focused on adoption wherein there was a discussion on the experience of adopting a child and transitioning children in orphanages to their adoptive families. After the talk, this transition into the reflection session which emphasized on the experience of the members in area and linked this by looking at the bigger picture of child abandonment. TUGON TAMBAY WEEK

Tugon Tambay Week, that was themed Filipino fiesta, gave the organization the opportunity to promote and raise awareness for the advocacy in the LS community. It served as an avenue to showcase the organization’s identity and ignite the interest of the members of the Loyola Schools community, as well as to help the members of the organization bond with each other. FUN RUN: SPLASH

TUGON’s first ever fun run has a theme of SPLASH: Run for them, run with them. It was a morning full of adrenaline, sweat and splashes of water as students and their families ran through the whole ADMU campus with the hopes of making a splash in the lives of our beneficiaries; the babies and girls of our partner institutions. PAMASKONG HILING Pamaskong Hiling aims to brighten the holidays for our girls and babies by fulfilling their wish lists through pledges made by students and campus personnel. ABANDONMENT The Child Abandonment infographic was an introduction to the fundamental concept of child abandonment specifically defining what child abandonment is, the reality of child abandonment and ways on how to help in the cause of Tugon’s fight against child abandonment.




ADOPTION The Adoption infographic contained information about different facts on adoption and different laws surrounding the adoption process which contributes in the awareness of online viewers who are willing to adopt.
