Pears with Hot Caramel Cinnamon Sauce

Ingredients 4 almost ripe pears, stems on 1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup light brown sugar 1 Tbsp. flour 1 cup boiling water 2 Tbsp. butter 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. vanilla
1. Peel and core the pears, leaving the stems in tact, sprinkle pears with 1 tsp. cinnamon. 2. Place pears in base of SmartSteamer. 3. Fill Water Tray with 1¾ cups water. Place SmartSteamer Base on top of Water Tray. Cover and microwave on high power for 15-20 minutes. Place on serving dish. 4. Meanwhile, mix sugar and flour in a small pot. Stir in the boiling water. 5. Cook gently, stirring constantly until slightly thickened. 6. Add butter and simmer for another 8 minutes. 7. Remove from heat and whisk in the cinnamon and vanilla. 8. Pour hot caramel sauce over pears.
