In this issue’s cover story, we focus on small capital projects. With this work, even the smallest project deserves the same level of care and attention as a major undertaking. Every project contributes to the overall success and growth of a client’s facility—just as every employee contributes to the success of Turner Industries.
This issue also features the Paris, Texas facility’s 25year celebration. As this anniversary continues to be celebrated, we want to acknowledge the many other awards and milestones achieved by Turner employees across the country. We are honored to share them and show the impact that every employee has on this company.

While mega projects tend to grab headlines these days , it ’ s small capital initiatives that help keep industrial facilities ahead of the curve. These “ small cap projects ” are targeted investments born from the need for continuous improvement, adaptation, and regulatory compliance . Turner Industries has become synonymous with excellence in this arena, offering a unique approach that emphasizes clientcentric solutions and local project-by-project management. This strategy has enabled Turner to consistently deliver highquality small cap projects on time, within budget, and safely.
Understanding Turner ’s Small Cap Philosophy
Turner defines small cap projects as minor initiatives focused on improving, modifying, or expanding existing industrial infrastructure. These projects are designed to deliver specific, targeted solutions while maintaining a smaller scale, scope, and budget. Our combination of strong client relationships, local market expertise, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and a ONE Solution services model allows us to execute these projects with precision and quality.
Success in small cap work means treating every project, no matter the size, with the same level of care and attention.
NESTED
Turner’s nested small cap model provides clients with a dedicated, core team of resources embedded within their facility to execute a consistent stream of small to midsize capital projects. Nested projects focus on minor scope upgrades within an existing facility. These typically include piping, structural improvements, fabrication, scaffolding, paint ing , insulation, NDE services, and more, generally with smaller/lower budgets.
IN AND OUT
For standalone small cap projects or those with new clients, Turner’s in/out approach ensures flexibility. In/ out projects address larger scope initiatives involving modifications, replacements, or additions to piping or structural systems. Turner also provides in/out small cap services such as civil work (parking lots, foundations, slabs, etc.), scaffolding, paint ing , insulation, fabrication, and more.
T HE T URNER A DVANTAGE
With no project too big or too small, our personnel carry a broad skill set, making us a highly adaptable partner. Our core teams are not only proficient but also multicrafted, ensuring quality, cost certainty, and the flexibility to meet specific client needs. By prioritizing cost certainty, quality workmanship, and
ensuring the right team is assigned to each project,
Turner alleviates the common challenges that facilities face when requiring small cap work. Ultimately, facilities that need small cap work value quality, communication, responsiveness, transparency, integrity, costeffectiveness, safety, resource availability, innovative solutions,
Safety isn’t just a priority, it’s a passion. Every worker deserves to go home to their family the same way they arrived. We create a culture where safety is everyone’s responsibility.” — Turner Industries Regional Safety Manager Jasmin Gaona TECHNOLOGY
Execution with Precision
and a problem-solving, clientcentric attitude.
Turner Industries has implemented a series of effective safety practices and initiatives to ensure the safety of their small cap service projects such as Stop Work Authority; Lock. Tag. Verify.; and “I’ve Got Your 6.” Additionally, oneon-one safety communication is required between senior project management and each employee. Turner also utilizes the Safety Pulse Report, a real-time data dashboard delivering standardized safety metrics, which is discussed with work crews to ensure continuous improvement .
To streamline estimation and planning and optimize resource allocation, Turner leverages a proprietary digitized take-off software. This advanced tool generates precise quantity takeoffs and standard labor factors tailored to the complexity of each project. Integrated planning, scheduling, and job costing tools, combined with up-to-date market analyses, ensure accurate budgeting and competitive pricing for clients.
Local Knowledge, Nationwide Reach
Turner offers small cap services nationwide, leveraging regional offices in Baton Rouge and Lake Charles, Louisiana ; Decatur Alabama; Pensacola, Florida; and Corpus Christi, Freeport, and Houston, Texas. Turner’s local market knowledge and flexibility allow these regional small cap project teams to adapt quickly to changing project requirements, providing clients with cost-effective solutions that meet their specific needs. Turner’s ONE Solution service model, whether nested or in-and-out services, streamlines project execution, delivering efficiency and value to clients.

Lindsey Wing
Current Title: Site Safety Manager — Kuraray EVAL Plant
Lindsey Wing isn’t just a site safety manager. She’s also a wife, a mother, a singer, a dancer, and a valuable member of the Turner Industries team. While at Turner, Lindsey has been able to build a successful career that spans more than 15 years while also making a real difference in the lives of her colleagues.
A Quick Q & A with Lindsey
What led to your current position at the company?
What are your job responsibilities?
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I started with Turner in 2008 as a safety administrator at Shell Deer Park. After completing my Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) certification, I progressed to a safety technician role in both construction and turnarounds, which involved traveling to various locations. I then served as site safety manager at Shell Lubricants and later held roles at Ascend Chocolate Bayou, Oxy Vinyls, and Shell Deer Park again. I'm now the site safety manager at Kuraray EVAL, a position I've held for nearly three years.
My responsibilities include developing and enforcing safety policies to build and maintain a strong safety culture, as well as assessing risks associated with practices, procedures, and facilities.
The most satisfying aspect is when employees embrace safety programs because they genuinely care about their well-being, not just because it’s required. This translates to a safer workplace where everyone returns home to their families every day.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
What is something people may not know about you?
What is your motto or favorite quote?
What are three moments that have shaped who you are today?
I love to sing and dance, whether it’s at home, family gatherings, karaoke nights, or open mics. I even competed on the Spanish-language talent show “Tengo Talento Mucho Talento” (similar to “America’s Got Talent”) — didn’t win the grand prize, but it was an amazing experience!
My husband and I raise rabbits, quail, ducks, geese, chickens, and a rooster. They keep us busy while also helping to provide fresh food for our table.
I have a quote in my office that inspires me: “She believed she could, so she did” — and I added, “she still is.”
Earning my CSST certification, which opened the door to my safety career. Joining my family with my husband's and welcoming our son, Kayden. Participating in the Industry Business Roundtable nomination and auditing process, which has allowed me to see firsthand the dedication to safety across different companies.
