WITH CHRISTMAS NOW JUST...

around the corner, it is all-systems-go at our depots as early indication shows it is going to be another busy festive period for us all at Turners. This month's newsletter is full of products that may be of interest to you over Christmas and the New year, from the basic essential dry goods that you will need for Christmas, that appear on the front cover, to our range of bamboo skewers that are really useful if you are planning any canapé or New Year's Eve parties. Because we understand that this period is just as busy for you, we have included a few handy ready made time-saving products that could shave valuable minutes off your prep-time. Even if you would normally make macarons or dessert sauces from scratch, sometimes it is good to have a back up in case things don't go according to plan and you need something to get you out of a bind. Greg has come up with a special festive cheeseboard for us that veers slightly away from the 'traditional' Christmas varieties but is none-the-less full of top quality cheeses. Although he has selected a purely British board, he has also given us a few French alternatives if you want to add a continental touch. It is not completely about Christmas though this month, as we welcome a new range of award winning pies and pasties to our stock, from the Devon based company Chunk. With frozen, ready-to-bake and wrapped, readyto-eat options available we think these will be popular with our customers in the New year, once the mince pies have gone for another year. Toby

Sumptuously Sweet Notoriously difficult to get right every time, the humble macaron can be the thing of nightmares, especially when things get busy and the pressure is on. ISSY SZUMNIAK Issy will have been part of the Turners telesales team for three years this January, initially full-time, but since coming back from maternity leave a year ago, she now works on a part-time basis. As well as performing the everyday duties the role requires, such as dealing with customer orders and enquiries, Issy also helps train new staff members. Besides the Parma ham, Issy thinks the best thing about working at Turners is the team she works with, but before she came to us she worked as a global advertising account manager for a tv and film production company. The love of Issy's life is of course, her 2 year old son Alfie. She loves nothing more than messing around with him and watching him grow up, but when she does get a moment to herself she enjoys running and recently took part in a running event with some of the other girls in the office. Born in Germany, Issy also loves to travel, and recently went to Monaco for the first time where she enjoyed a flutter on the blackjack tables, winning £1200. Maybe those winnings could go towards a trip to her dream destinations of Bora Bora or seeing the Northern Lights.

Dorset. A brie style cheese made with raw milk by Alison French at Chalke Valley cheese. Classic bloomy rind with a soft paste that breaks down readily, with superb cabbage-like flavours, typical of great brie.

Remember that our customer service team is here 24 hours a day during the week, till 4pm on a Saturday and from midday onwards on Sunday (an answerphone service is in operation out of hours). So whatever time of the day or night you need to place your order, there will always be a friendly voice at the end of the phone, who will be happy to help. Please be aware that at peak times (from 10pm onwards) our phone lines can become extremely busy, so if you are able to place orders before 10pm then you will have more chance of getting through at the first attempt.

DELIVERIES We deliver daily, Monday to Saturday and our vans leave us between 2am and 7am, depending on the journey. All routes are fixed so you can expect your delivery at or about the same time every day. We do not operate a minimumorder policy.
