SO THE CLOCKS HAVE GONE BACK... and the long nights have started drawing in, which in our mind means two things; comfort food and time to stock up for Christmas. In reference to the former there is not too much more comforting than a warming cheese recipe so we thought we would highlight some of the favourites from our cheese stores that melt beautifully and can be used to make indulgent winter dishes. We also re-visit our friends at Essential Cuisine, a company with whom we have enjoyed a long and successful relationship, and their excellent ranges of stocks, gravies, jus and sauces. These versatile and high quality products deserve a place in every good kitchen so if you are yet to try them then we highly recommend that you to do so. Another product which we have stocked for a while are the exceptionally good British membrillo-style jellies from Global Harvest. Very popular this time of year and having recently released a new smaller sized pack and a few new flavours, they work fantastically well with cheese, charcuterie, meat dishes and desserts alike. For lovers of meat we have plenty this month, as we continue our Top 5 feature, turning this time to our favourite pieces for roasting, as well as looking at the types of continental sausages that we have available. ANGELA MOLNAR Angela has worked in our accounts department for a year and a half, organising petty cash for the company. She enjoys having the opportunity to develop and grow, and everyday at Turners poses a new challenge. Before life at Turners, Angela worked in a series of London restaurants, were she was able to enhance her people and customer service skills. She enjoyed her time in the capital but doesn’t miss the long commutes to London everyday. Since joining Turners, Angela has been able to explore her passion for food; discovering new and exciting products she wouldn’t usually have access to. She takes pleasure baking bread and tasting unusual foods such as pig’s ears. Angela says her dream job would be a street food stall in the Seychelles, where she could experiment with her passion for weird and wonderful ingredients. DELIVERIES We deliver daily, Monday to Saturday and our vans leave us between 2am and 7am, depending on the journey. All routes are fixed so you can expect your delivery at or about the same time every day. We do not operate a minimumorder policy.
