alling upon over 20 years of experience in the coffee trade, including working with the original Whittard Of Chelsea tea & coffee merchant and training with Gaggia in Milan, Master Barista Joe Lloyd opened Perk & Pearl in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent in 2013. His intention was to create a unique coffee & tea experience on the high street, sharing his knowledge and passion, whilst making good quality coffee accessible to all. Noticing a gap in the market between those who want only the best quality beans, often with the price tag to match, and those who want a cheaper alternative, often compromising on quality, Joe decided to create his own blends. After months of blending, roasting and blind tasting, he has produced three consistently outstanding coffee blends which produce a great cup of coffee every-time, whilst remaining competitively priced, even compared to most mainstream brands. WHITE GOLD
This is a beautifully silky smooth coffee from Brazil & Costa Rica. It has a buttery, caramel sweetness with some vanilla notes and a stone fruit-like acidity that lingers. This delicious medium roast has the body to cut through milk and has bags of flavour. As an espresso it produces a deep golden crema, hence the name!

With Spring in full swing, here are a few seasonal suggestions that come into the fore this time of year. Lamb's shoulder and legs are available. Tasty, lean cuts of meat, perfect accompanied by mint sauce, flavoursome gravy, and seasonal vegetables. For a twist this Easter, rabbit is a great alternative, with a subtle, unique game flavour that's hard to compare. On the vegetables front, Yorkshire forced rhubarb has finished, but has been replaced by English outdoor rhubarb. Also in season are fresh Italian peas. They have a short season though, so get them while you can.

Ricky has been working at Turners for over a year as an administration assistant. His daily duties include checking and processing email orders, putting standing orders on to the system, and organising the out of stock items. Previously, Ricky worked as a specialist insurance salesman where he would sell insurance to taxis and classic vehicles, but he much prefers working at Turners as every day is different. Ricky now enjoys learning about new and interesting products which he didn't previously have exposure to. Despite what he claims are youthful good looks Ricky is 29, and looking forward to becoming a father for the first time this year. Secretly, Ricky is quite the adrenaline junkie. He would love to skydive or dive with sharks in South Africa, a place where he has been meaning to visit in recent years. Though if it were possible, Ricky would teleport himself to his favourite holiday destination so he wouldn't have to endure the long, tedious flight.

DELIVERIES We deliver daily, Monday to Saturday and our vans leave us between 2am and 7am, depending on the journey. All routes are fixed so you can expect your delivery at or about the same time every day. We do not operate a minimumorder policy.
