A great first Bank Holiday weekend and a mixed bag of sunshine and showers for the second made for some interesting ordering patterns. Alex has highlighted some of our extensive gluten-free range in this edition; an ever growing area for us and we have lots of ideas and ingredients for you. On the fresh produce side, LJ Betts are another of our local growers whose produce is delivered to you within 24 hours of picking; great quality too. Very happy to introduce Terry to you all too; we reckon most of you will have spoken to him and he’s very much part of the Turner’s furniture! Toby

Chocolate coated popping candy. The chocolate gives a protective layer allowing you to use them as an inclusion to ice cream, ganache or mousse without the candy exploding until eaten.

In the coming weeks we will be receiving shipment of juices from SO NATURAL, our newest cold press juice range which uses HPP (high pressure processing) to sterilise the juice without altering the taste, or taking away any of the benefits of the fruit and vegetables inside. No water, no preservatives, just 100% flavour and goodness. They have been causing quite a stir in the Turners office and we think you will love them too.

REBLOCHON FERMIER MISSILIER The famous cheese from HauteSavoie. This particular cheese is made by Jean-Pierre Missillier in the Alpine town of Le Grand Bornand. Fresh and clean tasting with a nutty finish, it is an essential ingredient for Tartiflette.

We are happy to welcome two of Britain’s best loved and award winning cheddars to our product range in the form of Wookey Hole Cave Aged and Coastal Cheddar, both by Ford Farm on the Ashley Chase Estate in Dorset. A full-bodied farmhouse cheddar that has revived the ancient art of maturing cheese in caves. It is wrapped in cloth and taken deep into the caves at Wookey Hole in the Mendip Hills to be matured for six months. The constant atmosphere of the caves allows the cheese to retain its moisture and take on a full, earthy flavour. A true celebration of traditional cheddar making techniques.
Up there with the best mature cheddars in the world, Coastal is Ford Farm’s best selling cheese. Aged for 15 months, in which time it develops a distinctive crunch from calcium crystals that form naturally when the cheese reaches peak maturity. Rugged in texture, salty but also deliciously sweet, we challenge anyone not to fall in love with this cheddar on first taste.
