Message from Governor Bob Harper I hope everyone’s summer is off to a good start. We have had a series of excellent programs arranged and coordinated by Anne Companion. Michael Patch did a wonderful job showcasing his real estate photography, sharing his approach to decide which elements to emphasize, how to light those elements, and how he works with real estate agents and property owners to maximize his business returns. Very interesting and professional. This month’s speaker on boudoir photography also promises to be very interesting. Come out on June 20 and listen to a great program by LeZandra Persinger. We are planning a family fun Summer Social in July, probably on a Sunday afternoon. More to follow on this. As your summer fills up, please remember that as members of our Tidewater Chapter should you have an issue and need some professional assistance, just put the word out and someone will step up to assist. This is just one of the benefits of being a member of this professional organization. Image competition is on the horizon and I know many of us are scrambling to finish our cases and get them in. Our Chapter expert on image competition remains Tracy McGee, so if you have questions, you know where to go. See you on the 20th at my studio in Hampton.

May Meeting As Bob mentioned, our May meeting featured Michael Patch with a program on Architectural Photography. This meeting included a Real Estate Photography Class which began at 2:00PM followed by our regular meeting. Michael is a member of the Northern District and he is known for his excellent architectural photography. This program was excellent! Thanks so much, Michael.

LeZandra Persinger started her photography business while studying Psychology in Hawaii at the age of 19. She has since shifted her focus to shooting boudoir exclusively and focusing on empowering her clients through portraiture while using her psychology background. LeZandra will be discussing why she chose to focus on boudoir exclusively, how she connects with and markets to find her ideal client, what a boudoir experience includes, and the types of products and sales techniques she uses with her clients. August Meeting Will be our VPPA Summer Seminar, August 19-22, 2016 in Fredericksburg, VA, with a Ben Shirk Workshop from August 23-25. Ben Shirk is one of our most renowned photographers and recently won third place in the World Cup. He is a master of the composite image, so his workshop promises to be a game changer.
