Well, VA Reel continues to impress with some wonderful and talented presenters. I believe I missed a blurb for our May newsletter. See what happens when you get pumped up. Jeanne Hobbs hosted for the May event. Christi Williams did fire us up with her wacky (her word) approach to “Pinups: Finding the Beauty in Everyone.” For those who didn’t know, she drove from the Northern Peninsula and she did arrive home safely. Some comments from the meeting: “I think she did great. Very enthusiastic and entertaining while presenting a unique subject matter. Campy and clever, a bright spot in my week.” “Christi Williams provided a plethora of ideas for making unique images for each client. Great presentation.” In June Ty Swartz hosted Rinat Halon Neal’s “How to Get Published—and Get Paid For it.” I believe it’s safe to say Rinat, with her myriad experiences and tall tales from all over the world impressed and motivated us one and all. I received a couple comments from members about her program. “Loved our speaker Rinat Halon Neal! She had some great out of the box ideas for business and I left feeling so inspired!” “Renat Halon Neal’s presentation of her life achievements in the photographic field was extremely inspirational and not only reminded those present but validated what can be achieved through focus, dedication and determination.”
In July we’ll meet Carly Fogleman who will help us “Take the Mystery Out of the Squares.” We’ll meet at Storybook Studios, 1320 Kempsville Rd. Suite 108 in Chesapeake. Please register on Wild Apricot for the meeting. It helps me if you register.
In addition to our VA Reel program, please keep the summer seminar in mind and plan accordingly. Registration is now open. We have a block of rooms to fill at the hotel so make your reservations soon. Also, prep the next round of images for our formal/informal critique. You’ll find more info on that on-line.
