We're just beginning a busy run up to Imaging USA, January 19 - 21 with pre-con
classes beginning January 16th. Our very own "Come to the Cabaret" convention begins 20 February and runs through the 24th. Be sure to register and claim your hotel room. Also, be prepping those images for print competition. Enter six or more as you see fit for a full case. It's a great way to improve your photography and post processing skills.

Our January meeting will be held on the 27th to avoid conflicting with ImagingUSA at Bob Harper Photography, 120 W Queens Way, Suite 101 Hampton VA 23669. Social time beings at 6:30 with the meeting commencing at 7:00 PM. I hope to see you there.

Each monthly newsletter I will be doing a blurb called “Focus On”. This will revolve around spotlighting local photographers, equipment, photographic tips and more! On Friday, January 10th, Jessica Robertson of Jessica Robertson Photographic Artistry hosted a Pro Share Day at her studio in Ashland, Va. I, along with three other talented female photographers was among those who attended. Jessica has a heart of gold and is a dedicated professional to teach others. Her topic for the workshop “Passion to Profit”. She dove right in on the business stuff, how to plan and price yourself. She gave us an exclusive on how she conducts her consultations, workflow, sales, and products. All ending with senior models in which we got hands-on experience for lighting and posing. We walked away with inspiration at our fingertips and big thank you to Jessica and her team!
