I'm excited about the turnout we've been having at our monthly meetings and we have taken in several applications in the past couple of months! If you have brought a visitor please reach out to them and let them know that they can attend two meetings at no charge before joining. I will continue creating the event pages on Facebook for our meetings as they seem to be helping everyone invite fellow photographer friends. April Meeting – April's meeting took place at Bob Harper Photography with local wildlife and landscape photographer Jim Hanson presenting a number of beautiful images of birds, bears, and other animals. He discussed the equipment used to take various shots and the timing in getting those amazing images. He also presented a number of stunning landscape images and went into the technical details of those as well.
Speakers April-September ***Unless otherwise noted, monthly meetings are on the 3rd Monday of the month. Social hour is from 6:30pm-7:30pm and the meeting is 7:30pm-9:00pm. Any changes will be communicated as soon as possible.*** May's speaker is Roger Mitchell of motiontography.com Topics are landscapes and cityscapes and how he does what he does to make his great images. Hobbs Studio will be our host. June Bob Harper is our presenter and host and will cover studio lighting. The cost is free for members and only $25.00 for non members
July is our summer social and Bill Grace will provide a demo of drone photography. Bill will select the location best suited to the demo. Stayed tuned for more information. August 19-21 is our Summer Seminar in Fredericksburg.
JT Blenker will talk about Nightscapes and astrophotography on September 25. He comes highly recommended by Mary Fisk-Taylor.
