PUBLISHER’S NOTE Shine Your Spotlight On Success with Ease A few years ago, I was in a VIP day with my coach at the time who is a multimillion dollar business owner. She said to me that most of our challenges in business were the samethe main difference was that her challenges involved more zeros. That was an important moment for me because I knew she was right, and that as long as I was in my own business, there would be challenges. It is the same for you. That is why I am so excited about approaching success with ease, because we can do business the hard way, with constant worry and struggle, or we can do it the with the intention of ease, gratitude and bliss. We have packed this issue with so many ideas about success with ease. Consider, as you read these pages, that ease is not only about what you do—it is also about who you are and how you show up in your business. I am so excited this month with our cover spotlight on Lee Richter and her award-winning team. She is an inspiring and amazing woman who has done an incredible job of cultivating success (mostly) with ease. She is pictured on our cover with a few members of her team. I met this smart and motivated group at a VIP visit to Lee’s office. I was struck by how truly happy, engaged and proactive everyone was. Lee Richter Knows Success with Ease by Caterina Rando
Lee Richter embraced entrepreneurship early, at the tender age of six. As soon as she started earning money, she appreciated the freedom of choice it brought to her and her family. Today, Lee is the CEO of Richter Communications and Design Group, a multi-million dollar business with massive value and wisdom to share. As a happy, focused, award-winning entrepreneur running several businesses, Lee is an ideal choice for our success with ease issue. In a recent interview, Lee conveyed her top guiding principles for business success with ease. Here is a synopsis: Integrity is essential. Do what you say you are going to do because this makes you trustworthy and reliable. Share Happiness. Be on the lookout for how you can share happiness with your family, your team, your friends and your community. This cultivates acknowledgment and connection. Connection Matters More than Anything. Get to know the people you work with and serve. Lee shared, “Connecting with people makes me happy.” Play as Hard as You Work. Always have an adventure to look forward to. Lee mentioned she learned this from her dad. Celebrate All of Your Successes. Lee conveys, “Every milestone you meet, take a moment to reflect on the courage, the drive and the team that got you there. Focus on what you have just accomplished rather than all of the things left to do. When you celebrate those accomplishments, it brings joy and happiness to you and your team.” Lee has much success to celebrate. She is pictured above with her daughter, Abbey, who is twelve years old, and already an entrepreneur and best-selling author. Take a cue from Lee, embrace her guiding principles and you can enjoy success with ease. Find out more about Lee at www.goasklee.com or call at 510-594-0828. SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE LIVING MY LIFE with Ease By Lee Richter Living life in gratitude and ease is my goal. I know what it is like to struggle and be in pain. When I survived a near-fatal car accident in 2002, I learned that life is not always easy. I also learned that my mindset creates the experience I live. I’d rather be in abundance and happiness than in victim mode or negativity.
• Pay attention to what you want and WHY. Get clear with the WHY to design a more meaningful and happy life. Now I live my life to the fullest because I am clear about what I want to do. Career success allows me freedom of choice. When my choices are made with ease and flow, I know I am heading toward a meaningful and happy life. Lee Richter is an innovator and for more than 30 years, she has built successful and dynamic community-driven businesses. Her unique vision and system generate massive results, proven by her highly successful companies, which produce millions of dollars, hundreds of jobs, support communities and educate thousands of people all over the world. Lee has been working with happiness experts for many years and www.sharehappinessnow.com is her passion project she shares with the world.
Sometimes I want to complain about what is wrong in the world; however, that helps no one. I feel better, happier and more successful when I notice what is working instead of what isn’t, what is right rather that what is wrong, and what I want rather than what I don’t. This is the law of attraction at work. Create more ease and flow in life with these practices: • Create and consistently update a to-do list. Outline and prioritize your list based on what you want personally, professionally and physically. Schedule time to do them. • Ask for help. Know your “A” team of supporters. Enlist them for help. A business coach or a personal trainer may be included. • Create time for self-care. What do your mind and body need? What does your ideal health look like? Plan daily steps to optimize your energy and wellbeing. • Stay healthy. Movement and good nutrition create a better life as we age. • Focus on gratitude. This practice brings more ease and joy into your life. 10

SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE USING FINANCIAL REPORTS to Help You Strategize for Success
Using the information provided on the reports can also help you plan longterm goals, such as offering new products or services, expanding into a new area, or hiring an employee to help manage the growth of your company.
By Candy Messer
Use the information at your fingertips to strategize your success!
Is your bookkeeping up to date? If so, are you using the information available to you to plan the success of your business? According to Merriam-WebsterÂŽ, the definition of the word strategize is to make a plan for achieving a goal. Do you set time to review your progress and create a strategy for success? How often do you analyze your profit and loss, balance sheet or cash flow reports? One of the most useful tools in your business is the financial information the accounting data gives to you.
Candy Messer is President of Affordable Bookkeeping and Payroll Services and energizes business owners by removing the burden of the bookkeeping and payroll processing from their shoulders. With 15 years of experience, Candy understands the stresses business owners face and offers customized services to meet their varying needs, including bookkeeping, payroll, Quickbooks consulting, and bill pay services. Candy works with service-based business owners who are overwhelmed with the paperwork required to stay in compliance for filings and frees them to focus on what they love to grow their businesses. Visit her website at www.abandp.com for more information.
Your profit and loss report can tell you the ratio of expenses to income which can be used to see if you are pricing your products or services properly. Many entrepreneurs think they have a handle on how much they are spending, but it's often eye-opening to them to see the figure in black and white. The balance sheet shows what you own (assets), what you owe (liabilities) and the value of investment in the business (equity) at a certain point in time. If you have a significant amount of debt, but not much in assets, that is a warning sign that you could be headed for trouble. Reviewing these reports often is important to see trends and to allow you to make adjustments to improve the profitability of your company. If you don't have the time or the software to do the bookkeeping, contact someone who can assist you with this task.

SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE HARNESS YOUR ENERGY to Do Less and Make More Money
Putting your focus on impact allows you to work less and make more money. This is where your 80 percent goes. This action propels you to your goal much faster—especially with sustained, consistent effort.
By Jenenne Macklin
Focus your efforts each day on improving things that work and letting go of things that don’t.
Do less? Yeah, right. That sounds like one of those spiritual practices that don’t take into account just how much you have to do! Actually, there is an 80/20 rule that allows you to do less, earn more and dominate in your industry. The rule says that 80 percent of your results come from 20 percent of your efforts, and vice versa. Do you complain about being busy? What impact are your actions having in your business or your life? If you were to analyze your time for the week, you might find that the majority of the actions you take have very little impact on your bottom line.
Jenenne Macklin is passionate about partnering with successful, heart-centered women in business to know their value, create wealth and leverage their feminine power to create fulfillment, a sustainable business and luxurious lifestyle. She has a gift for intuitively guiding women to uncover their purpose, passion and power. As a transformational speaker, coach and author, Jenenne is a powerhouse of empowerment, inspiration and a catalyst for women to have clarity, confidence and courage to live their dreams. Jenenne would love to hear from you at: 310-978-7133 or jenenne@jenennemacklin.com.
What if you could tweak your actions to focus on what really matters? You could leapfrog to your next level. Over my years of coaching, I’ve heard it called the difference between working on your business and working in your business. First, "to do-less” is really more about getting laser focused on what really needs to be done. It’s not possible to take care of everything when it comes to your family and business. Shop. Cook. Drive. Clean. Make love. Coach clients. Speak. Travel. Eat healthy. Support parents. We’re not wired for unlimited distractions. We have only so much attention and cognition to go around. Therefore, it only makes sense to laser focus on what is the most revenue-generating activity you can do for your business when you’re in it. Likewise, the same is true for your family.

SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE DIVINE MARKETING STRATEGIES for Juicy Success By Linda Basso Does your marketing strategy bring about feelings of excitement or obligation? Be true to your heart: Sure, a sound strategy is based in part on best practices and research, but it has to contain desire as well. Admit your heart-based hopes—even the parts you feel vulnerable about admitting—so your plan leads you somewhere you really want to go. Your heart must be considered in your strategy, along with your body, mind and soul. Don’t create a plan where your “heart isn’t in it” or where you don’t want to enact it. Rituals count: Rituals have long been used to bring about desired outcomes by those who are spiritual and by those who aren’t. They are a way of being deliberate and intentional with the universe about something you’d like to see happen. Studies show that rituals reduce anxiety, increase confidence and heighten experiences. Create and enact a ritual around your strategy and glean these juicy benefits. Shower plans with love: How do you show you love something? Bless it, accept it for where it is and trust its unfolding. Bless your plans with love often. Showering them with criticism for not being good enough or worrying

SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR for an Authorpreneur to Publish a Book?
Selling authors, the majority climbing to the #1 rank. These are the types of entrepreneurs who are sought-after speakers for live events, podcasts, media and article interviews, and more.
By Robbin Simons
Now is the time to publish your book and take full advantage of this golden time of year!
According to recent industry data, more than half of retail book sales in the United States occur only a few months before the Christmas holidays, between September and December. This is a perfect time for launching and promoting your book if it is one that fits into the general interest or fiction categories. What this means for Entrepreneur Authors: While planning a NovemberDecember book launch may seem logical in order to take advantage of holiday shopping and pre-Christmas sales, the Entrepreneur Author should consider a more strategic approachone that aligns her business for listbuilding and leverages the momentum created during promotional, “bestseller” campaigns.
Robbin Simons, founder and CEO of Crescendo Publishing, is the leading expert on lead-generation book publishing and platform growth. Through her exclusive publishing programs, she takes aspiring author-preneurs from idea to published author in 90 days and to-date, has a 100 percent success rate in creating Amazon® best-sellers. In addition to being the best-selling author of multiple books herself, Robbin’s work has been featured in many online and offline media outlets, and her authors have been featured in major television and print media outlets including Forbes®, NBC’s Today Show, Huffington Post, The Dr. Oz Show, USA Network and many more. Connect with Robbin at robbin@crescendopublishing.com or at www.crescendopublishing.com.
By launching a book early in the fall, the Entrepreneur Author is then well-positioned to utilize her book for an essential list-building campaign that should occur one to two months ahead of an end-of-year program or product launch. This is where the BIG money is! How to leverage this critical timing to get more speaking engagements: Also important is the increased visibility a book launch can create, particularly if the book becomes a best seller. This enables the author to leverage this success to obtain speaking engagements for 2017, which are being booked between now and the end of this year, in most cases. Creating this much visibility and momentum so early in the fourth quarter positions you as a more attractive speaker going into the next year, especially if you are fortunate enough to attain the “holy grail” of book publishing“best seller” status. To date, 100 percent of my clients have become Amazon Best 18

PRODUCTIVITY ASSASSINS By Bibi Goldstein Hopefully most of you set the intention of what you’re going to get accomplished each day, either with a to-do list or a project manager. As you start your day, focus on each item and check things off, here it comes—the surprise attack that has come to murder your productivity. It comes in many forms; clients, employees, spouses, children and Facebook just to name a few. Every day, our focus is tested and all day we have to be prepared for these productivity assassins in order to get through our to-do’s and projects. How do you stay focused when so many distractions keep you from being productive? This is simple, establish a “Closed door policy.” This means literally and figuratively close your door, close your unneeded open windows on your computer, turn off your ringer. By establishing these rules, you can turn the tables on productivity killers. Closing your office door and putting a DO NOT DISTURB sign on it reminds others that you are busy and can’t be interrupted. This even works great if you don’t have an actual door. If you work in a cubicle or at the kitchen table, you will be surprised how powerful those three short words will be. How many windows do you really need to open when you’re working on one project or task? It’s so easy to get distracted by email pop-ups or social media that you may never actually make it back to what you were working on! Dinging and ringing of phones affect our productivity more than any other, because we can take them with us anywhere. The distractions become mobile, with calls, text messages, emails, and social media notifications all on one little phone. Turn it off or, better yet, put it in another room and watch your productivity soar. Bibi Goldstein is the founder and CEO of Buying Time LLC, a virtual assistant service, serving small businesses and entrepreneurs around the globe. Bibi is a speaker, author and time management guru. SUPER TIPS to Create More Success with Ease By Caterina Rando When was the last time you asked yourself how you could make business and life easier on you? Start to ask yourself this on a regular basis and watch your ease increase. Here are a few great ideas to get you started: Expect Ease. Release old ideas about struggle and stress being necessary to achieve success. Reprogram your thinking throughout the day with statements like Success comes to me with ease, or I move through my life with ease, or my favorite: I expect success. Make Decisions Quickly/Act Quickly. Even though most decisions we make are not major decisions, we frequently take too long to make a choice, pondering possible outcomes over and over. Do not waste your brain power. Decide quicklydo it or don't do it, go or don't go. Decide and move on.
SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE you are disappointed, like when you don’t get the sale or a client cancels, instead of sidelining yourself, if you create more ease by getting into action to counter that setback, you will soon create a new win. Pick one of these ideas to focus on to cultivate even more success with ease. Caterina Rando wants you to enjoy more success with ease. Do What You Are Good At. One way to surely eliminate ease is to do everything yourself, even the things that you are not very good at. Take a look at what you are doing that is a struggle for you and get some support or help with it. Or better yet, delegate it. There are people who are going to add a lot of ease for you by doing what they are good at for you. This will free you up to do what is easy for you. Plan Breaks in Advance. Sometimes we think that the sky will fall if we take a vacation, go away for a long weekend or even take an afternoon off. If you plan for time away, you will easily be able to get away without having to reschedule, cancel, juggle, delegate or rush to get things done. Take a stand for yourself and give yourself needed breaks. Don’t Let Disappointment Win. In business, we can get disappointed and stop. We take our attention off our goals and put it on something else to distract us from our disappointment. In essence, we procrastinate on taking action because we do not want more disappointment. Recognize that when 22

SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE 6 THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR BEFORE
Signing a Real Estate Contract in California By Nancy Lewellen, Esq. If you can’t afford an attorney to review the most important contract you will ever sign, pay serious attention to the following paragraphs: 1. Buyer’s Deposit: It should be refundable if you, the buyer, back out of the contract based on your review of property inspections, selling your current home, or if your loan doesn’t come through (or other spelled-out conditions).
5. Loan clauses: Put maximum interest rates and maturity dates into the contract, so if your loan is not approved for a loan type and rate that is affordable for you, you can walk away. 6. Seller Disclosures: Pay close attention to what the seller says/doesn’t say in this section. A good agent often can spot differences in the property that don’t match up with the disclosure. Nancy Lewellen, MBA/JD is a real estate, business, and international law attorney, a California licensed real estate and mortgage broker, and managing partner of the Palladian Law Group. She practices arbitration, mediation and transactional work, has International Law and Public Interest Law Certificates from Santa Clara University School Of Law, and interned with the UN in Geneva, Switzerland. Nancy previously held lending and credit policy positions with three major banks for nineteen years, and had her own commercial mortgage and residential mortgage brokerage firms for ten years prior to law school. You may contact Nancy at 415-399-0993 or at nyl@palladianlawgroup.com.
2. Liquidated Damages: This is a pre-agreed dollar amount that the seller keeps if the buyer breaches the contract (usually 3 percent of the purchase price). If you don’t initial this paragraph, the seller has to give the buyer back any money deposited. 3. Arbitration clauses: If both parties agree to this, you waive your right to a jury trial if you need to sue the seller later. Typically, you will have to go to mediation first and then arbitration. Arbitration is often cheaper than going to trial, so this is a good option for many buyers. 4. Property Inspections: Give yourself enough time to have important inspections performed, and review building department records for permits obtained for major work done. This will tip you off to work done without permits or not by licensed contractors, which the seller needs to disclose. If the seller hasn’t disclosed the lack of a permit or hasn’t used a contractor, beware. 24

SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE SCOUT WORTHY WAYS to Prepare for a Sales Meeting By Debbie Mrazek One of the biggest mistakes in sales is being unprepared for sales meetings. Too many times, salespeople arrive just minutes before appointments not prepared.
Four Easy, Be-Prepared Reminders: Confirm: Just because you scheduled a meeting
and set aside time for a prospect doesn’t mean she remembered to do the same. The day before you are scheduled to meet, send an email confirming the time and location of the meeting. This will help you avoid miscommunications and ensure that the meeting is still scheduled. Materials: Have your agenda clearly defined. You may want to start by creating an outline of talking points you would like to cover during your meeting. This is your opportunity to stand apart from others and define your brand. It can also help you steer the conversation in the direction you would like. Remember to bring some business cards. That may sound simple, but you would be surprised at how many people actually forget this small, yet important, step. Practice: You may think that you have it all worked out in your head, but actually practicing what you want to say will help you be more relaxed and confident during the actual meeting. Practicing what you plan on discussing will also help you cover all of the information you want, while taking note of any information you may be missing.

Know what’s important: Before your face-to-face meeting with someone,
you have likely had a few phone calls or emails with her. Make sure you include information related to her needs and how your services can make her life easier. The more prepared you are before your meeting, the more relaxed, present and successful you will be. Take some time the day before to ensure that you are properly prepared. You’ll be glad you did.

It can lead to self-doubt that can undermine your entrepreneurial dreams. One of the best ways to keep this from happening is to build your own success team that supports you and provides valuable insights, inspiration and motivation as your business grows and evolves.

Strategies for building your own success team: 1. Set your parameters: Your team should share your brand attributes. These are the core values; the foundational standards that govern how you do business. If you have a core value of integrity, your team should mirror your ideals. 2. Find your success team: I found my team members at various Thrive events. This community attracts like-minded women entrepreneurs with similar core values that complement my vision and goals. You can also find them at training classes, conferences, networking events, clubs and organizations. 3. Work with your team: There are many ways you can use your team. I have a declaration partner. She and I talk every weekday and spend about 15 minutes declaring our goals and aspirations for our businesses. You can be accountability partners. I call mine every Monday with my weekly action items and follow up the following Monday. It has helped us both to move forward and we support each other with feedback and encouragement. Feng Shui is a potent tool used by wealthy and powerful rulers around the world throughout the millenniums. Feng Shui principles reinforce strategy, success and ease! Strategize: Planning and organizing our buildings for optimum energy starts the Feng Shui process. We want our spaces to support the desired energy for specific outcomes. If you are doing a creative project, a well-lit environment connected to nature will assist you best. For instance, sit where you can look through a window from your desk. Focused attention works best in a more protected area. Have a wall behind you with a view of the entrance.
Linda Lenore is a Feng Shui Master, Certified Green Building Professional and vital office/home consultant whose clients include Adobe®, Bank of the West®, Ritz-Carlton® and international personalities. Quoted as an “expert” in the Wall Street Journal®, Christian Science Monitor®, San Jose Mercury News® (front page), Better Homes & Gardens® publications, and European documentaries, she’s known for creating corporate and home environments that stimulate success and soothe the soul. A bestselling and award-winning author, international columnist and former University of California faculty member, her amazing Hallmark® Channel segment, Lifetime Media appearances, and presentations have inspired audiences through design, ancient wisdoms and stories. Linda is known as “The Healing Designer.” Linda can be reached at linda@lindalenore.com.
Success: Fame, fortune and power are the qualities most associated with success. Feng Shui principles can help you attain these. For example, place awards and recognition plaques on the wall opposite the entry. This is your area of FAME. You’ve now anchored, balanced and magnified your desired result by “setting your intention” while hanging the objects. Ease: Often, our buildings inadvertently express “lack” or missing energy. We work hard only to be discouraged at the conclusion. Feng Shui is about flowand not just any flow. You want a gentle and consistent energy coming your way. You want to be uplifted, inspired and supported. You want health, wealth and love. You want fun, creativity and a world-changing career. You want to be appreciated and compensated for the time, talents and treasures you share.

New personality piece: When meeting a new group of people, stand out and be distinctivedon’t blend into the woodwork. What do you choose that represents you well and makes a statement? Maybe a watch, an amazing belt or a necklace that looks great with nearly anything you wear. Personality pieces can be the perfect icebreaker. Do you have yours? New shoes: A pair of unscuffed, polished shoes can make you feel fabulous. Look at your feet. Are you proud of what you see? If not, plan for a new purchase or a visit to the cobbler for a shoe makeover. New gadgets: Are you using a phone that grew up in the dark ageslike 2013? In order to be perceived as a go-getter, sharp and on the pulse of current trends, you may need to freshen up your technical gadgets. Remember those freshly sharpened #2 pencils? The equivalent today may be your iPad or smartphone.

These three steps will not only help you create a business you love; you may even increase your bottom line ten-fold. Shift from surviving and striving to thriving by building a booming business with ease. Step 1—Self-care: Self-care leads to self-value. Women are beautiful inside and out. We feel supported when we care for ourselves.
design and envision your dream business with ease. You will be yourself and bring your gifts to the world. Women often feel doubt, questioning whether they can succeed. The answer is yes, because you already have the knowledge; the wisdom, the life experience and the dreams. You know what makes you feel good and what’s uncomfortable. All the answers are inside you. Have fun along the way, and access the full range of you. You can envision your dreams in order to live your dream through your business. Step 2—Envision your dreams: A dream is a vision. Let your dream unfold by taking clear action from where you are now. Step 3—Strategize: Step back and develop a strategy for your business. SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE HOW TO MOVE FORWARD When You Feel Stuck
What can you do to start making changes today?
By Nancy Karas
I encourage you to try each of these four steps the next time you feel stuck. See what works for you, and keep on moving toward success with ease!
We all feel stuck once in a while. It can be frustrating and paralyze us from progressing in life and in business. It helps to have the tools at hand to get back in the swing of things and get moving again. Here are four techniques you can use to take yourself out of being stuck and move toward success with ease:
A transition coach and career management strategist for people ready to live the life they’ve always dreamed of living, Nancy’s expert advice and insights are featured in The Wall Street Journal, INC., Money Magazine, GlassDoor.com, Monster.com and The Salt Lake City Tribune. Nancy is also a career expert for KTLA News and iHeart Radio. A human resources thought leader and popular guest speaker, she focuses on personal empowerment and career success for her clients. Happy fans and customers have called her “the career whisperer” and “my Sacagawea,” and one organization called her “the career coach to watch in 2016.”
1. Be proactive. Make a list of specific steps you will take to move yourself forward. Commit to taking one step at a time, even if you don’t feel like it. The momentum you gain will provide encouragement and motivation to take the next step. 2. Change your environment/attitude. Take yourself from this black abyss to a place where you can find clarity and direction. Getting outside in nature is a great way to gain a new perspective. 3. Identify self-limiting beliefs and self-defeating patterns. Work hard to eliminate them. If they rule your life, you will not go far. Address and eliminate them to ensure you achieve your goals. 4. Take some time today to move forward. Blaming others or the world around us never allows us to grow. 38

TOO BUSY? Try this. By Laura Gisborne Want to add free time to your busy schedule? Here is a simple practice that saves sanity. I use the free Google calendar connected to my Gmail account. To simplify your life, first set up your Google calendar, and then let go of these two things:
My calendar is accessible to my entire team from any computer and synchs with my cell phone. If anyone adds appointments, we all get the update. When life happens and to-dos arise that are not in our regular course of life or business, I write them on my calendar. At the end of the week, a clean calendar gives me a strong sense of completion. When you put this into practice, let me know what you decide to do with your newly found free time. Laura Gisborne is a highly successful business expert. She has owned nine companies, ranging from small boutique businesses to a multi-million dollar wine and real estate empire. The innovative business model of her current company, Legacy Leaders Global, exemplifies that businesses can be both profitable and purposeful. Through her initiatives, thousands of people are receiving regular contributions in multiple countries across five continents. Receive a free copy of her book, Stop the Spinning at www.laurafreebook.com.
Let go of the belief I have to do it. As Adam Markel says, “Shift from How can I get this done? to Who can help me get this done?” Stop making lists. They are draining, time-consuming, and actually create one more thing to do. Start writing all tasks only on your calendar. This saves you from having to look for a list, and allocates the time to get the task done. If you don’t finish it, move it to the next day. Step One. Create recurring appointments for anything important to you even exercise or a date with your loved one. If it’s important, schedule it. When laying out my goals, I schedule vacation and time off with loved ones first. Exercise goes on next as a daily recurring appointment. Step Two. Choose the time block you want to use for working, like a specific weekday and time for taking calls from clients. Step Three. Choose a day and time for personal and professional development.

SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE BUILDING INCOME By Lu Casillas How do we create that perfect balance between building income and having fun? I’m a true believer that building income needs to be fun. It’s just my personality type. However, too much fun can cause a strain on your financial house. Income: This is your most valuable asset! Most people think it is their home or other real estate acquisitions. The reality is if you lose the ability to earn income, the money will start to vanish with overhead. Not good.
Follow a Weekly Schedule: This keeps you on target for a goal, and also allows you to look at areas where you can schedule with clients to keep relationshipbuilding. Your schedule is your lifeline. I plan three social events each week, one evening mixer and two daytime events. It could be touching base with clients or networking with new prospects. Could meeting three new prospects a week or 8 to 12 per month be financially life changing? Having Fun Creates Having Funds: Not only are you going to enjoy growing your business, but the “fun” will be a principal player in your financial gain. Lu Casillas, is the educator and creator of Blend2Day, supporting women to find Balance in Life, Educating one another through Networking, and making their Dreams become reality. As a specialist at FCA, it is her goal to help women create a wealth preservation strategy that allows access to funds while also building a lifetime income stream.
Outcome: If we lose our ability to earn, we will drain our savings and perhaps even take loans out of 401k plans, possibly having to pay taxes and penalties. For some, there is always using a credit card or clearing out the cash accumulation on a life insurance policy. Have you noticed banks are starting to send out letters stating interest rates are going up again? Work Smart: Plan a budget for client events or meetups. You can start small. Perhaps it’s a monthly coffee with a client. Ask her to bring a friend to introduce to you. This will maximize your time. Consider creating a Dutch breakfast club or mastermind breakfast group! 42

SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE GROW When You Know By Benita Ibrahim I recently watched a TV show episode about businesses that were no longer thriving and needed full makeovers to survive. The expert had come in and assessed the property, observed production and staff performance, and gave his recommendations. Although the owner asked for the assistance and expertise of a successful entrepreneur, the owner refused to implement the new strategies.
and how they work best for you. Strategies change as you grow and as your industry evolves over time. The same strategies used for one business may not work for another one. Why? Because every industry is different, consumers are different, demand is different, location is different, even supplies and merchandise may be different. I think you should Grow when you know the strategies you put in place have caused monetary growth. Benita Ibrahim, is a small business owner for over 23 years. A bestselling author, speaker, leadership educator, mentor and consultant. Benita believes the secret to success is in loving what you do and creating positive relationships within that environment. She has been featured in several well-known women’s magazines and received several awards for her contribution to education and leadership in the community, currently sits on The Board of Directors of The ALC at Northwood University and FFW a non-profit organization advocating against teen and adult domestic violence and abuse. Visit her website at www.benitaibrahimsolutions.com or email her at bisconsulting@ benitaibrahimsolutions.com
I was in shock! I could not believe that the owner was not willing to take the advice of an expert in order to turn his dying business around. He thought that if he hired more staff it would correct production and performance at the new franchise, and business would begin to grow. WRONG! Always be willing to listen to guidance from an expert in your industry and to the needs of your audience. Avoid trying to grow faster than what you are equipped for, because you can potentially hurt your brand if you're not ready. The same formulas you used for marketing and strategies 10 years ago may not work today. I have seen countless businesses that are still trying to use the same formulas and strategies today that they used 20 years ago. It does not work! Strategies aren’t some mystical, magical formula or potion. Your strategies are simply the way in which you do what you are called to do 44

SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE ALWAYS KNOW the Value You Bring By Paula Pacheco When a potential new employer asks, “What is the value you bring?” can you give an immediate and confident reply? If you can’t, then be prepared for not getting noticed. If you are able to answer this question immediately with ease and confidence, and be very specific about the skills you have, it will help you achieve your goals faster than you ever thought possible. 4. Write down the top 50% of skills from each blue column. Now you have a list of skills that you can use to create a resume or compose a personal value statement. Paula’s 17 years in the corporate arena turned her into a dynamic, strong, results-oriented operations development and change professional experienced in analyzing, managing, training, growing and restructuring business operations. In 1992, Paula earned a BA in liberal studies with a concentration in consulting psychology, (organizational development), from John F. Kennedy University. SUCCESS WITH EASE ISSUE SHARE YOUR MESSAGE Through Your Content By Diana Morgan When you write your blog, share your message. Answer the questions your clients ask you all the time. Answer the questions your clients should be asking to understand more about what you do. Your blog gives you the opportunity to have more time to explain what you do, how you’re different, what the experience of working with you will be like. Share information, don’t promote.
Connect with people who reflect your message Do some research on social media around whom you might connect with. This should be someone who has similar potential clients but offers different services. Hopefully they share content that reflects your values. You share their content, they share yours and everybody wins! Diana Morgan, business and marketing coach, author and speaker, is passionate about teaching, inspiring and empowering entrepreneurs to grow their businesses. She specializes in online and offline strategies; showing you how to apply them to your business to get results. Diana has over 20 years of successful business and marketing experience, building 2 of her own businesses using the strategies she offers her clients. She understands the struggles and challenges of building an effective, authentic online presence and has the patience and know-how to help you. She offers live and virtual trainings, and "done for you" internet marketing services. www.wholeheartmarketing.com
Share your message through other people’s content. Social media offers so many opportunities to share other people’s content, but it’s important that you share content that is a reflection of your brand. It’s tempting to just share funny or controversial things, but make sure it’s a reflection of your brand. If your brand is a little edgy, then by all means, share edgy. If your brand is about positivity and motivation, then those are the types of posts you can share from other people’s content in addition to your own. Inspire your followers with your message of inspiration. I encourage you to share quotes and articles that will inspire and motivate people to take action on your expertise. Make sure whatever you share is in alignment with your values. If everything you share aligns with and reflects your values, then people will “know who you are,” know what to expect from you, know who to refer to you and know if you are the one for them. 48
