ichwood is the forgotten community when it comes to lodging complaints of their problems and solving those problems. The residents say they are fed up with the lack of assistance from their local councillor, Cheryl Visser, and the City of Cape Town. Glenn Marais, chairperson of the Richwood Neighbourhood Watch (RNW), contacted TygerBurger in hopes that the newspaper would get a quick reply from the City
to the numerous letters, phone calls and SMSes sent by the RNW. “Our problems include unsafe roads for cars and pedestrians, traffic noise and negligent driving. Our neighbourhood is becoming unsafe for all living there. The rain that fell during the past two weeks is adding to our misery and the roads are in a terrible state. The roadway around the stormwater drain at the corner of Jonkershoek and Buitengracht streets is starting to collapse. At the corner of Bergzicht and Uitzig streets there is a deep pothole of approximately
