Tyler Smithson

Tyler Smithson is from Atlanta, Georgia, where he cultivated an interest in landscape design and construction. Finding the disconnect between the urban fabric and natural environment particularly intriguing, he pursued a Masters of Landscape Architecture and Community Planning from Auburn University. At Auburn, he was awarded as a 2011 University Olmsted Scholar by the Landscape Architecture Foundation for exhibiting exceptional leadership potential in the field of Brownfield Regeneration. His urban planning thesis: "Sprawl Repair of Webster's Crossing" won 1st place in the 2012 Alabama APA Student Planning Competition. Driven by a passion for problem-solving through design, I am dedicated to helping local communities achieve their active transportation and recreation goals. My commitment to high-quality work and dedication to positive community impact has left a lasting mark throughout the Intermountain West.
