WHO ARE WE? Pharm’up was born in 1998 due to the lack of premium French, niche beauty brands in the French West Indies. Seizing the opportunity, Eric Sandillon decided to create a distribution network for exceptional French niche brands. Starting only with 3 very dynamic brands (Bioderma, Uriage and Nuxe), the group quickly expanded to include over 25 brands. With the creation of a branch in the Indian Ocean in 2004, Pharm’up now employs 40 people, and operates in almost every French Island in the world. Our yearly turnover is 10 M€, with the same goals as when we started: to offer a complete import, distribution and promotion strategy for quality niche brands mostly distributed in specialized pharmaceuticals & beauty stores in France. In 2018, Pharm’up becomes the first representative in the Caribbean for the 3 brands that expanded with us since their creation, and along with Bioderma, Uriage and Nuxe, Tadé also entrusted the company with their distribution in the area.


OUR SERVICES Today, Pharm’up offers three types of services: - Imports: with a warehouse on both our branches in the West Indies and the Indian Ocean, we can stock up our brands’ products to ship them to the whole area. - Distribution and promotion: in both branches, our teams of salesmen travel from island to island to promote the brands and highlight their specificities. - Marketing: our biggest teams. Merchandisers, demonstrators… Their goal is to support retail sales wherever our brands are distributed. We are open to all types of opportunities in new markets: partnerships, joint ventures, or franchise. Ideally, we would like to establish partnerships that would allow us to offer the same kind of services to our clients. We also act as a distributor for the 4 brands that trusted us to develop their market in the Caribbean: Nuxe, Bioderma, Uriage and Tadé.


THE BRAND Created in 1977 by Jean-Noël THOREL a pharmacist specialized in medical biology, Bioderma offered a revolutionary approach at the time. His goal: to fully understand skin biology in order to create dermatological skin care products that restore natural balance and strengthen the skin. Forty years and over 50 international patents later, BIODERMA’s advanced research has profoundly affected the way beauty products are designed and formulated. Today, Laboratoire BIODERMA is prescribed by dermatologists, advised by pharmacists and acclaimed by consumers around the world. The company collaborates with numerous fundamental dermatological research entities and is closely tied to several dermatology services in hospitals.

THE APPROACH: BIOLOGICAL MIMETISM Skin is an ecosystem; it lives in relation to its environment and evolves over time. Instead of treating it, Bioderma aims at teaching it how to live better, using biological assets to counter the effect of one’s environment, medication and ageing. Bioderma products reproduce the skin’s natural biological mechanisms through their components and how they act on skin to return it to full health in a lasting way. To guarantee the highest level of dermatological safety, BIODERMA products also contain a limited number of ingredients and the purest active ingredients, all at the optimal dose. Any product that is deemed dermatologically questionable is excluded, in favor of molecules that are naturally present in the skin.

THE BRAND Convinced by the R&D potential of a small Parisian formulation laboratory, Aliza Jabès decided to launch the 1st brand of natural, effective and ultra-sensual beauty skincare in pharmacies in 1990. The next year, Nuxe launched Huile Prodigieuse, that went on to become French women’s favorite oil and the No. 1 oil in French pharmacies. In 2008, the company launched Bio-beauté, a new brand of certified organic skincare products, today No. 1 of all organic skincare sold in French pharmacies. 2014 saw the launch of a third brand, Resultime, made with an in-house patented vectorized micro-collagen.

THE APPROACH: NATURAL & SUSTAINABLE Committed to offering the most efficient yet natural products, Nuxe source natural ingredients and exclude anything that would not be considered as healthy for the skin: no mineral oils, parabens, MITs, potassium sorbate, propylene glycol, GMOs nor aluminium chlorohydrate. The brand works closely with nature and respect the environment as much as possible, offering sustainable packaging and practices: the ingredients come from fair-trade sources, the extraction methods follow the principles of green chemistry, and no testing is carried out on animals.

THE BRAND Tadé was born in 1994 from Thaddée de Slizewicz’s discovery of the Middle East, a fascinating land that offered him a mythical beauty product: the Aleppo soap. Striking a partnership with a local soap maker, Thaddée created Tadé, the leading importer of Aleppo soap in France for the past 20 years. Despite the recent geopolitical changes in the country, Tadé is proud to still be able to help local producers to live from their trade while importing soap and handcrafted products for its markets. In the bare spirit of oriental bath, Thaddée also created a range of cosmetics and bath products crafted on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea.

THE APPROACH: NATURAL & FAIR TRADE Tadé guarantees the authenticity and origin of its soaps, all natural, organic and imported directly from the city of Aleppo, the last remaining city in which the traditional, authentic “laurel soap” is made in cauldrons by artisans. Sweetly scented with levantine fragrances, Aleppo soap is made with olive and laurel oils and is let to dry in the fresh air. Ecological, natural, incomparably soft, it helps soothing and reenergizing the skin. While drawing on the latest advances in modern skincare, Tadé’s products are formulated using the minimum number of ingredients, making them as ecological and natural as possible.

LINES OF PRODUCTS Although TadĂŠ has been specialized in the distribution of original Aleppo soaps, they also offer other beauty products and have widened their range to include bath products and accessories, to complete their hammam-oriented lines. Their ranges comprise of: - Aleppo soaps (various sizes and concentration levels, liquid or bar) scented with laurel & olive, tea leaves, rose, jasmin or orange tree - Marseille soaps - Barber range (shaving soaps, brushes, etc) - Alum stones and water - Bath accessories (in metal or recycled tire)

THE APPROACH: THERMAL WATER A thermal spring, Uriage has been used for its properties for 2,000 years. Through a 75-year underground journey in the Alps mountains, the water absorbs great amounts of minerals and trace elements, giving it exceptional properties. Uriage Thermal Water works in perfect osmosis with the skin, reinforcing its natural barrier, which prevents from dehydration and protects the skin from external irritants. Today, 23 patents enable Uriage to offer new, daily solutions for acne-prone skin, atopy and irritation, etc. Each formula is designed to be as optimized as possible, with strict limits on the quantities of ingredients and preservatives.
