Calling for City Leaders to Participate in Business Driving Event
ONE of Asia-Pacific’s premier business and civic forums, Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum will be held in Daejeon, South Korea, on 10-13 September 2017. Daejon, an active member of UCLG ASPAC, has called cities and local governments to not miss the opportunity to attend this key gathering. Initiated by Brisbane City Council, this biennially held event is set to drive economic growth for Brisbane, South East Queensland, Australia and wider Asia-Pacific region. Looking back at previous summit held in Brisbane, opportunities included strengthening business in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, exposure to trade and investment opportunities for private and public sector, meeting of key decision makers from more than 100 cities from all over the world, learn from internationally renowned key speakers and government leaders, and exchange knowledge as well as connect through prime networking business events. Taking “Shaping the Future of the Asia Pacific” as theme of the event, this year’s summit will address critical issues affecting cities including innovating cities through science and technology, revitalising cities through vibrant business activities, achieving sustainable city solutions, and recreating cities through art and culture.
