HELLO FROM SECRETARIAT UCLG ASPAC is glad to announce an additional staff member who will help strengthen the Secretariat Team and enhance its contribution to members.

Mohammad Ridwan, or Ridwan, is the newly recruited Project Assistant for the ASEAN Mayors Forum and Global Covenant of Mayors Southeast Asia (GCoMSEA) programme. Graduating from master’s study at Malmö University (Sweden) majoring in Leadership and Organisation for Sustainability under the Swedish Institute Scholarship, Ridwan has international working experience in-store. Among many are becoming program coordinator for the International Office, Malmö University-Sweden, dealing with NGO-Student Integration projects; conducting a benchmarking project for the international housing office website and managing social development projects for student housing; becoming a project coordinator at EOS Cares Lund-Sweden; as well as becoming a project coordinator at Pendar Pagi Foundation. Ridwan also represented Indonesia as a delegation for UNESCO Youth Forum in New Zealand (2011) and Japan (2012) and was selected as UNESCO Youth Peace Ambassador for the Asia Pacific (awarded in Hiroshima, Japan 2012). When asked about the goal of joining UCLG ASPAC, Ridwan, once trained as an astronaut at NASA Education Centre through the Honeywell Educators Scholarship program in Alabama, USA, 2018, said he would like to develop himself and contribute significantly to participate actively to create such a positive impact.
