Hello from Secretariat UCLG ASPAC has found other young talent to support its Secretariat’s daily activities through internship programme. Find out about our new intern’s passion and how she utilises her time at the Secretariat. My name is Tania Latifa, I am a fourth year student majoring in International Relations at the Paramadina University, Jakarta. Although my studies are mostly about politics, I am greatly interested in environment, culture, art and animal welfare issues. At UCLG ASPAC, I work as an intern under the Media and Communication Division. Back in the university, I have organized several events mainly as part of the creative and art/documentation division. Besides creating design, I’m also assigned to create a social media calendar and develop articles for newsletter. Designing, drawing and painting have always been my hobby since I was little. Although I never really have professional background on it, I am really glad for the opportunity to use my skills to jazz up UCLG ASPAC social media and at the same time expand it. By interning at UCLG ASPAC, I hope I can gain more knowledge on how cities achieve sustainable development goals. I have spent most of my life in Jakarta, and although it is a love-hate relationship, I would love to learn how I can contribute to make my beloved city better, for instance through public spaces’ improvement. I believe that proper public spaces are not only able to upgrade the quality of life of the residents, but also support the development of a city.
