Hello from Secretariat
UCLG ASPAC is glad to welcome the new staff members who will support and strengthen the Secretariat. Nadia and Andri are newly hired with rich experience before joining us. They have expressed their enthusiasms to support the good works of UCLG ASPAC.
NADIA Fakhar, or Nadia, is the new Knowledge Management and Communications Manager for the Localisation of SDGs in Pakistan of Local Empowerment Advocacy and Development (LEAD) Programme based in Islamabad. Holding an M.Sc. degree in Sociology and currently pursuing MS Development Studies from SZABIST University, Islamabad, Nadia has been providing technical and advisory support to the federal, provincial and local governments, the Parliament, the political parties and civil society. She worked at several well-reputed organisations such as Oxfam, Development Alternatives Incorporated, International Foundation for Electoral Systems, National Democratic Institute, the World Bank and others. Her core areas of expertise are program management, communication, advocacy, research, capacity building and innovation (use of technologies). Being a Knowledge Management and Communications Manager of LEAD Programme, Nadia is currently responsible for the strategic communications, knowledge sharing and management activities conducted under this Programme for SDGs’ localisation in Pakistan.
ANDRI Yusuf, or Andri, is the Finance Admin Officer of the Climate Resilience Inclusive Cities (CRIC) Programme of UCLG ASPAC. He is responsible to handle all administrative works, logistics and travel arrangements, and perform other relevant administrative tasks. Having a Master’s Degree in Financial Management from the University of Indonesia, Andri possessed more than 10 years of experience in project management and finance. He has been involved in project budgeting, finance, planning, recruitment, subcontracting, procurement/tender and other supporting activities for several projects funded by the ADB, World Bank, UNICEF, DFAT, DFID, The Netherlands and MCA Indonesia. When asked about his expectation to join UCLG ASPAC, Andri said that he expects to gain valuable experience from the Programmes in UCLG ASPAC. He is also willing to give a positive contribution for the organisation to develop its management systems such as financial, procurement and administration. Apart from the office, Andri enjoys football and automotive.
