Hello from Secretariat
UCLG ASPAC is glad to have additional team members in the beginning of year 2021. Working remotely from home does not limit us to ensure the best deliverables on programme and project implementation for sustainable development. ARIE Setiawan joins UCLG ASPAC as Project Manager for Climate Resilient and Inclusive Cities (CRIC) Programme. Having Master degree in Urban Architectural Design from the University of Trisakti, Arie ensures the high impact of sustainable integrated urban development, good governance and climate adaption/mitigation through long lasting partnership, and tools such as sustainable action plans, early warning tools, air quality and waste management in consultation with the international experts’ panels. Prior to joining UCLG ASPAC, Arie recorded working experiences with Johns Hopkins Centre, the World Vision International, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade – The Commonwealth of Australia, and many other distinguished agencies. A self-described “urban mobility and low-carbon technology education enthusiast,” Arie is eager to work with the CRIC programme and all of its 10 piloted cities altogether to address the issue of climate change related emission reduction, the city’s resiliency to climate change and their inclusiveness for gender equality and social inclusion. Apart from work, Arie is enjoying his parenthood moment with his wife and third-grade son. JAVAID Hasan has joined the LEAD for SDGs Programme Pakistan as the new Team Leader.
