Welcoming New Staffs! UCLG ASPAC is pleased to welcome two other new staffs, Angga Ariestya as Information and Communication Officer and Achmad Firas Khudi as Member Services Officer.
"This is my new experience joining with UCLG ASPAC. Imagine that all nations in Asia-Pacific region linked each other, hand-in-hand to implement a big agenda for democracy, decentralization, local economic development, culture and tourism and gender issue. I am really excited," said Angga.
Graduating from Political Science and pursuing his master degree in Communication Management, Angga is very enthusiastic in creating strategic communication plan as well as digital media. Having 6-year experiences in external as well as internal communication in state own enterprises and NGOs, Angga will be expected to develop communication programmes as well as give inspiring information to UCLG ASPAC's members.
Achmad Firas Khudi is the newly appointed Member Services Officer. Before joining UCLG ASPAC, he worked for Indonesia Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) in the partnership programme between Government of Indonesia and UNFPA on population and development for almost three years.
“For me, becoming one of the UCLG ASPAC’s team is a wonderful opportunity to explore my skills relating to local government and development in the global stage,” Firas said.
With experience in previous jobs, he is challenged to contribute his ability for UCLG ASPAC to increase member services quality.
"I really hope that I can give my best contribution to this organization, from assessing the needs of members to accommodating those needs and finally delivering the best services to members of this organization," Firas added.
