UEA is a key partner of the Norwich Science Festival, an annual celebration of all things science organised by The Forum in Norwich. Find out about the impactful research and amazing discoveries being made on your doorstep, with talks, demonstrations and activities featuring UEA scientists throughout the Festival. Every lunchtime, the Festival’s Gallery Stage in The Forum will host a free talk by a UEA scientist, with topics ranging from bird
migration to the chemistry of colour and mysterious hare deaths. Bring your lunch and learn something new while you nosh! The main atrium of The Forum will be turned into The Explorium: a place for everyone to explore the world through science, with free, hands-on activities for all ages from 10am to 4pm each day. EXHIBITIONS Until Sun 15 Dec Magdalene Odundo: The Journey of Things This major exhibition brings together more than 50 of Magdalene Odundo’s works with a large selection of objects chosen by Odundo from across the globe and spanning 3,000 years. Also showcased is Odundo’s largest piece: Transition II, made up of 1,001 individual suspended glass pieces. Until Mon 30 Sep Sonny Assu Canadian Kwakwaka’wakw artist Sonny Assu is the summer resident at the Sainsbury Centre, hosted by the research project Beyond Spectacle: Native North American presence in Britain. Sonny’s work utilises both pop art and traditional North West Coast practises to interrogate cultural identity and western constructions of the indigenous culture Free
