Writing the fringes: with Ross Raisin and Harry Brett (aka Henry Sutton) Part of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival
Ross Raisin is one of Britain’s most exciting young writers – a ‘new high priest of British pastoral’ whose male protagonists live on the fringes of rural society. His third novel – A Natural – lifts the lid on life in lower-league professional football. Henry Sutton is one of Britain’s foremost crime novelists and is also a senior lecturer in Creative Writing at UEA. Writing under the pseudonym Harry Brett, his new
series – Time to Win – dives deep into the fictional criminal underbelly of Great Yarmouth. This fascinating event explores modern masculinity and the often-overlooked voices from the fringes of modern Britain.
