Sustainable Agriculture Systems
Explore sustainable agriculture systems in Hawai‘i and the world. Compare various sustainable models and examine various sectors of production agriculture and related agribusinesses in Hawai‘i. Field trips to farms, processors and wholesalers. AG 193 / $ 262 + fees / 2 credits
Sustainable Aquaponics Systems
Learn the fundamentals of aquaponics and hydroponics in a 6-week online course including planting, harvest, operations and fish care. Eligible participants may apply for a paid apprenticeship opportunity. Sponsored by USDA AFRI NIFA grant AGR6515 / Dr. Javier Mollinedo / FREE tuition

Intro to Beekeeping
Farm Apprentice Mentoring Program
Learn the biology and behavior of honeybees and best management practices for hive management. Develop hands-on skills for hive inspection, maintenance, and management techniques to control honeybee diseases and pests. Investigate alternative pollinators.
