Sledding Penguins Have a child who loves chocolate? Try out the Sledding Penguins. This recipe consists of a banana, chocolate chips, and orange M&M’s. These penguins make eating fruits much easier and tastier for some picky eaters. However, these are frozen treats, so you may need to pull them out of your freezer or a cooler right before you give them to your child. These are also cute Christmas treats.

Cybil’s Take Cybil Woll’s Secret to healthy kids

Cybil Woll has invited our magazine to come down to her house and interview her on her experiences with food. Woll has had many good experiences with food, and she’s got a lot to say about being healthy and some alternatives for junk food. “When we were living in Southern California, my parents were big on feeding us healthy food. They always used to tell my brother and I that we would eat heathy in their house. They came up with a lot of alternatives, though, and I’m really happy they did,” Woll said. Woll went on to talk about what the alternatives did for her and what they could do for her. “Eating healthy not only makes you feel good, it makes you look good. I’m sixty-two, and I like to think I don’t look a day over forty,” Woll said. Avoiding junk food has many perks. Avoiding junk food can prevent you from some major illnesses like cancer, heart disease, and just overall feeling good. Cybil is ready to move on from telling us about healthy food, so now she’s here to discuss some healthy alternatives for junk food! “These alternatives are based on the needs of kids, but a healthy diet is good for anyone. I’m going to say before I start that pretty much every home-made food is almost always better for you,” Woll said. Woll began with some personal favorite junk foods from her childhood, and their tasty counterparts. “I used to absolutely obsess over chocolate pudding and really sugary yogurts. But making some simple arrangements can be made, like getting adult yogurt like Activia and making it kid friendly by putting granola, dark chocolate bits, or fruit in the yogurt.”

Woll went on to express her frustration about the amount of fake-food advertised to kids. “Beef jerky was one of my favorite snacks growing up,” Woll said. “I don’t know what it is about kids’ food and artificial everything, but I was a big fan of the whole fake-food thing as a kid.” The alternative for beef jerky and meat sticks is high in protein and low in sodiumbaked chicken or turkey breast slices. “I loved beef jerky, but the chicken slices were so much healthier and tasted a whole lot less salty than the jerky,” Woll said. Chicken nuggets are the food that almost all children can’t resist. However, chicken nuggets that aren’t made at home aren’t likely to be as healthy as ones that are homemade. “Chicken nuggets, yogurt, and beef jerky are just a crumb of the unhealthy foods kids are introduced to,” Woll said. “The most important thing any parent can do is look out
