LLET’S ET’S RREGISTER EGISTER TO VOTE TO VOTE

Greetings Sorors,

Sorors, Welcome back from a relaxing summer! I hope everyone is recharged and ready for an exciting fall. Our Sisterhood is in Bloom. AGO returns from our break 270 members strong! Every member of Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter contributes to the success of our chapter.

In June, we kept our Program Calendar moving with a month of activities focused on Black Dollars, we attended Boule in Dallas, Texas and hosted a send off celebration for MRD #26 Soror Shelby D. Boagni. Thank you to all the sorors who served as delegates.

What an exciting time for our sorority and other members of the Divine 9, as history was made when Vice President Kamala Harris became the democratic nominee for the President of the United States. It is a proud moment for women across the country, particularly women of color, as VP Harris is the first African American woman to be selected to run for this position. VOTE, It’s a Serious Matter! Let us take the AKA L.E.A.D. Learn, Empower, Advocate and Decide as we prepare for the November elections. Every vote counts! Be reminded that Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® must remain non-partisan to comply with our non-profit status. We are excited to be able to support the fundraising campaign efforts by making a donation to the AKA 1908 PAC.

AGO Sorors showed up and showed out for our chapter retreat. If you were not there you missed a fun-filled time of sisterly bonding. It was a perfect way to close out the summer with some fun.

We have an exciting September planned. Green Table Talk will feature Soror Selena Young, FWR Rep to the International Sisterly Relations Committee and GREENWell activities to support Service & Sisterhood.

Sisterly,

Soror Cheryl Lynn Mason, Basileus

September: Sisterly Strategic Soaring

Some say that strategic planning involves thinking carefully about how to accomplish something in a way that makes the best use of time and resources to achieve the best possible outcome. It can also involve aligning an organization's unique gifts and resources to take advantage of opportunities.

So let’s plan to finish out 2024 with Sisterly Strategic Plans.
